Aleksandra and Konstantin ( Belarusian: , Aliaksandra i Kanstantsin) is a Belarusian musical duo composed of singer Aleksandra Kirsanova ( be, Аляксандра Кірсанава, Aliaksandra Kirsanava) and guitarist Konstantin Drapezo ( be, Канстанцін Драпеза, Kanstantsin Drapeza). The duo was formed in 1998. They represented Belarus in their inaugural entry in the Eurovision Song Contest, singing " My Galileo" in the 2004 Contest. which failed to qualify to the final scoring only 10 points tying with Monaco for 19th place from a pool of 22. One of the their backing singers during the performance Petr Elfimov represented Belarus 5 years later for the Eurovision 2009 Contest in Moscow. Petr Petrovich Elfimov ( be, Пётр Ялфімаў, ''Piotr Jalfimaŭ'', russian: Пётр Елфимов, ''Pyotr Yelfimov'') is a singer from Belarus who represented his nation at the Eurovision Song Contest 2009 in Moscow, Russia. He won the national selection of Belarus on 19 January 2009 with the rock/pop song '' Eyes That Never Lie''. The song competed in the first semi-final as the fourth act. On 16 May it failed to win a place in the final, finishing 13th of 18 acts, receiving a total of 25 points. However, he has participated in the contest in the past as one of the backing singers for Aleksandra and Konstantin in the 2004 contest. Belarus participated in the Eurovision Song Contest 2005 with the song "Love Me Tonight" written by Nikos Terzis and Nektarios Tyrakis. The song was performed by Angelica Agurbash. Belarus debuted in the Eurovision Song Contest 2004 with the song "My Galileo" written by Aleksey Solomaha, Alexandra Kirsanova and Konstantin Drapezo. The song was performed by Aleksandra and Konstantin. The Belarusian entry for the 2004 contest in Istanbul, Turkey was selected through a national final organised by the Belarusian broadcaster National State Television and Radio Company of the Republic of Belarus (BTRC).
