Aleksandra Cotti
Aleksandra Cotti (born 13 December 1988 in San Giovanni in Persiceto, Bologna) is an Italian water polo player. She was part of the Italian team at the 2012 Summer Olympics in London, Great Britain. The team won the silver medal at the 2016 Summer Olympics. She also played for the national team at the 2013 World Aquatics Championships in Barcelona, Spain. San Giovanni in Persiceto (from 1912 to 1927: ''Persiceto''; Western Bolognese: ) is a town and ''comune'' in the Metropolitan City of Bologna, northern Italy. Water polo is a competitive team sport played in water between two teams of seven players each. The game consists of four quarters in which the teams attempt to score goals by throwing the ball into the opposing team's goal. The team with the most goals at the end of the game wins the match. Each team is made up of six field players and one goalkeeper. Excluding the goalkeeper, players participate in both offensive and defensive roles.
