Aleksa Nikolić
Aleksa Nikolić ( sr-cyr, Алекса Николић; born March 31, 1995), is a Serbian professional basketball player for Juventus of the Lietuvos krepšinio lyga. He played college basketball for the Marshall Thundering Herd. College career Nikolić played for the Marshall Thundering Herd of the Conference USA (NCAA Division I) from 2014 to 2017. Nikolić appeared in all 32 games, including 25 starts in the 2014–15 season. He averaged 5.0 points, 4.1 rebounds and 3.5 assists per game during the regular season. In 2015–16 season, he appeared in the first two games of the year before suffering a season-ending injury at Morehead State on November 24, 2015, which required facial surgery. The Basketball League of Serbia ( sr, Кошаркашка лига Србије, Košarkaška liga Srbije; abbr. КЛС or KLS), is a top-tier men's professional basketball league in Serbia. Founded in 2006, it is run by the Basketball Federation of Serbia (KSS). The 2016–17 Marshall Thundering Herd men's basketball team represented Marshall University during the 2016–17 NCAA Division I men's basketball season. The Thundering Herd, led by third-year head coach Dan D'Antoni, played their home games at the Cam Henderson Center and were members of Conference USA. They finished the season 20–15, 10–8 in C-USA play to finish in sixth place. They defeated Florida Atlantic, Old Dominion, and Louisiana Tech to advance to the championship game of the C-USA tournament. There they lost to top-seeded Middle Tennessee. Despite finishing with 20 wins, they did not participate in a postseason tournament.
