Andrey Alekhin
Andrey Alekhin (russian: Андрей Анатольевич Алёхин; born February 9, 1959, Novosibirsk) is a Russian political figure and a deputy of the 8th State Duma. After graduating from the Novosibirsk State Technical University, Alekhin moved to Omsk where he started working at the tannery factory. From 1983 to 1985, he was the second secretary of the Kirov district committee of the Komsomol. In 1989–1991, he was the head of the ideological department of the Kirov district committee of the Communist Party of the Soviet Union. After the suspension of the CPSU in 1991, Alekhin started working at the administrative and technical inspection of Omsk. From 1994 to 2021, he was the deputy of the Legislative Assembly of Omsk Oblast of the 1st, 2nd, 3rd, 4th, 5th, and 6th convocations. Alekhin is a lunar impact crater that is located on the southern hemisphere on the far side of the Moon. It lies to the north of the crater Zeeman, and south-southeast of Fizeau. 1909 Alekhin, provisional designation , is a stony asteroid and slow rotator from the inner regions of the asteroid belt, approximately 17 kilometers in diameter. It was discovered on 4 September 1972, by Russian–Ukrainian astronomer Lyudmila Zhuravleva at the Crimean Astrophysical Observatory, Nauchnyj, on the Crimean peninsula, and named after chess grandmaster and World Chess Champion Alexander Alekhine. Orbit and classification The S-type asteroid orbits the Sun in the inner main-belt at a distance of 1.9–3.0  AU once every 3 years and 9 months (1,377 days). Alexander Aleksandrovich Alekhine, ''Aleksándr Aleksándrovich Alékhin''; (March 24, 1946) was a Russian and French chess player and the fourth World Chess Champion, a title he held for two reigns. By the age of 22, Alekhine was already among the strongest chess players in the world. During the 1920s, he won most of the tournaments in which he played. In 1921, Alekhine left Soviet Russia and emigrated to France, which he represented after 1925. In 1927, he became the fourth World Chess Champion by defeating José Raúl Capablanca. In the early 1930s, Alekhine dominated tournament play and won two top-class tournaments by large margins. He also played first board for France in five Chess Olympiads, winning individual prizes in each (four medals and a brilliancy prize).
