Alejandro Fernández Abarca (; born 24 April 1971) is a Mexican singer. Nicknamed as El Potrillo by the media and his fans, he has sold over 20 million records worldwide, making him one of the most successful Hispanic music artists. He is the son of the Mexican singer Vicente Fernández. He originally specialized in traditional, earthy forms of Mexican folk, such as mariachi and charro, until he successfully branched out into pop music. Over the course of his career, he has been awarded two Latin Grammy Awards and a star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame. Career Early years Alejandro Fernández was born in Guadalajara, Jalisco. He currently participates in the North American karting as well as the Red Bull Global Rallycross Championship in the class GRC Lites. Career His career in the world of motorsports began at age 16 when his family bought him his first Go-Kart as a birthday present. Two months later Fernández began to race in his first competitions in the United States. Since 2012 he has raced in several championships. Alejandro Fernández de Araoz y de la Devesa (1894 – 8 November 1970) was a Spanish lawyer and banker. During the Second Spanish Republic he was briefly Governor of the Bank of Spain. Life Alejandro Fernández de Araoz y de la Devesa was born in 1894 in Medina del Campo, Valladolid, Spain. He was the son of Clemente Fernández de la Devesa and Margarita de Araoz Alonso. Alejandro Fernández Álvarez (born 30 May 1976) is a Spanish politician and political scientist who has been the leader of the People's Party of Catalonia since 2018. He has been a deputy in the Parliament of Catalonia since 2015, having previously been in the Congress of Deputies since 2011. Alejandro Fernández Sordo (1921–2009) was a Spanish lawyer and politician who was a member of the FET y de las JONS. He was one of the leading political figures in the Franco regime and also, in the transition period. Early life and education Fernández was born in Oviedo, Asturias, on 4 September 1921, but was raised in Llanes. He graduated from the University of Oviedo with a bachelor's degree in law. Career Fernández was an academic and worked as a professor of administrative and trade union law at his alma mater. He served as a member of the National Catholic Association of Propagandists.
