Aledmys Díaz
Aledmys Díaz Serrano (born August 1, 1990) is a Cuban professional baseball utility player for the Oakland Athletics of Major League Baseball (MLB). He has previously played in MLB for the St. Louis Cardinals, Toronto Blue Jays and Houston Astros. He played for the Naranjas de Villa Clara in the Cuban National Series from 2007 through 2012, before defecting to the United States. Díaz signed with the Cardinals in 2014, and made his MLB debut with them in 2016. From Santa Clara, Cuba, Díaz' career accomplishments in the Cuban National Series include a .307 batting average, .397 on-base percentage (OBP), and .439 slugging percentage over 342 games. José Fernández (pitcher)
José Delfín Fernández Gómez (July 31, 1992 – September 25, 2016) was a Cuban-American professional baseball pitcher who played four seasons in Major League Baseball (MLB). He was a member of the Miami Marlins from 2013 until his death in 2016. He stood tall and weighed during his playing career. He was affectionately known as "Niño" to his teammates and fans due to the youthful exuberance with which he played the game. Fernández was born in Santa Clara, Cuba. In baseball, an at bat (AB) or time at bat is a batter's turn batting against a pitcher. An at bat is different from a plate appearance.
