Album Minus Band
''Album Minus Band'' is the debut full-length album from DIY collective Bomb the Music Industry! It was recorded by ex- Arrogant Sons of Bitches frontman, Jeff Rosenstock, in a bedroom. The album contains “Unlicensed cover songs. Unlicensed audio samples. Great times.” It is available for free download on the band's website, as well as on Quote Unquote Records’ website. The title of this record would go on to inspire the name of a fan-sourced tribute album entitled "Album Minus Jeff". It was released on vinyl for the first time in 2008 through Asbestos Records. In a 2015 interview Rosenstock said "This record was kind of terrifying to make, but it was also really honest. It's a really fucked up sounding, pure record from someone who doesn’t know how to use a thing, recording-wise. It got me out of whatever shitty path I was on had I not done this." Harvey Danger
Harvey Danger was an American alternative rock band that was formed in Seattle, Washington, in 1992 by journalism students at the University of Washington. The band rose to prominence in 1997 with the single "Flagpole Sitta", which was later used as the theme tune to the British sitcom ''Peep Show''. After recording two albums, they went on hiatus for a few years and returned with their third and final release in 2005. Asbestos Records is an American independent record label in Stratford, Connecticut, United States, founded in 1996. ''Shut Up, You Fucking Baby!'' is a double- CD, live comedy album by David Cross, compiled mainly from shows performed in Portland, Oregon, and in Atlanta, Georgia, Cross's hometown. It was nominated for a Grammy for Best Comedy Album in 2003, but lost to "Weird Al" Yankovic's ''Poodle Hat''. The CD was sold brand new with an obi covering the top stating the title as "Shut Up, You ift flap for dirty wordBaby!" to accommodate stores that would object to the full title. Cross trolled potential buyers of the recording by having the cover deliberately designed to look like it has deep scratches in the cardboard of the Digipak packaging and titling the pieces on it after clichéd stand-up comedy topics, with none of the content actually having anything to do with them. The Arrogant Sons of Bitches (commonly abbreviated as ASOB) was a 6-piece ska punk band from Long Island and Baldwin, New York. The band was known for its strong DIY punk roots, self-releasing two albums and two EPs. Their final album, ''Three Cheers For Disappointment'', was released on Kill Normal Records.
