Norbert Alblas
Norbert Alblas (born 12 December 1994) is a Dutch professional footballer who plays for Eredivisie club Excelsior as a goalkeeper. Club career Ajax On 8 August 2013, Alblas signed a one-year contract with Ajax, with an option of a one-year extension. He made his professional debut for Jong Ajax in an Eerste Divisie match against Fortuna Sittard on 16 August 2014. On 27 October 2014, a day before the KNVB Cup match against SV Urk, Ajax manager Frank de Boer announced that Alblas was part of the first-team match squad. This was the first time for Alblas that he was included in the first team. In a match against RKC Waalwijk for Jong Ajax, Alblas was forced off after having torn his anterior cruciate ligament, which meant that he was out for the rest of 2015. Despite his injury, Ajax reached an agreement with Alblas at the end of May 2015 about the extension of his contract. His contract, which ran until 30 June 2015 was extended for one season. Ton Alblas
Tonny "Ton" Alblas (24 May 1940 – 21 August 2015) was a Dutch politician, he served as member of the House of Representatives between 2002 and 2003 for the Pim Fortuyn List. Career Alblas was born on 24 May 1940 in Barcelona, Spain. He completed his Hogere Burgerschool education in Eindhoven and Harderwijk. Alblas studied urban planning at the Delft University of Technology until 1972. He subsequently worked as civil servant for the Ministry of Transport, Public Works and Water Management until 1995. Afterwards Alblas worked as an independent advisor until 2000. For the 2002 parliamentary elections Alblas was placed as number 21 on the party list for the Pim Fortuyn List. He gained a seat in the House of Representatives and was a member between 23 May 2002 and 30 January 2003. Aart Alblas
Aart Hendrik Alblas, aka Klaas de Waard (20 September 1918, in Middelharnis – 7 September 1944, in Mauthausen concentration camp), was a Dutch navy officer, resistance member and Engelandvaarder. He participated in several resistance operations and is one of the most highly decorated Dutch resistance members. From 1940, Alblas collected information, often with John A. Idema. On the night of 18/19 March 1941, Alblas, with A.M. Westerhout, dressed in stolen German uniforms, travelled by motor boat to England to deliver the collection of information. For this exploit he received the Bronze Cross. Alblas was eventually captured and subsequently executed at Mauthausen concentration camp on 7 September 1944.
