Albion Rovers FC (Cairnlea)
Albion Rovers FC is a football (soccer) club based in Cairnlea, Victoria, Australia. The club was formed by the amalgamation of Royal Park Soccer Club and Albion Rovers Soccer Club in 1985. Since this time, the club has enjoyed success playing at the highest levels in Victorian football including finals campaigns in the Victorian Premier League (VPL), a host of Victorian State League titles and many League Cups. A combined five league titles between the Men and Women's team have given the club the most successful record of any Turkish backed club in Australian history. Currently the club's Senior Men team play in the Victorian State League Division 2 N/W competition. State League 2 is a semi-professional association football league in Victoria (Australia), Victoria, Australia. Sitting at level 5 of the Victorian league system, below the three NPL Victoria divisions, it forms part of the fifth tier of the overall Australian soccer league system, Australian pyramid. It is the second-highest-ranked of the five State Leagues. The league consists of two geographic divisions, North-West and South-East, comprising 12 teams each. Caroline Springs George Cross Football Club is an Australian soccer club based in Fraser Rise, a north-western suburb of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia, and plays in State League Division 1, the fourth tier of football in Victoria. George Cross play at the City Vista Recreation Reserve, following a move from Chaplin Reserve in 2019, where the club spent 38 seasons. The move to Fraser Rise coincided with a name change for the club, from Sunshine George Cross to the current name. The club was founded by Maltese immigrants. Having been one of eight Victorian clubs to have participated in Australia's National Soccer League, the club's best achievement was reaching the playoffs as finalists in the 1986 season. The City of Brimbank is a local government area located within the metropolitan area of Melbourne, Victoria, Australia. It comprises the western suburbs between 10 and 20 km west and northwest from the Melbourne city centre. The City has an area of 123 km² and in June 2018, Brimbank had a population of 208,714. The National Premier Leagues Victoria, commonly known as NPL Victoria, is a semi-professional soccer league in Victoria, Australia. The league is a part of the National Premier Leagues, and is the highest level within the Victorian soccer league system, serving jointly as the second tier within the overall Australian pyramid. Administered by Football Victoria, NPL Victoria is the latest iteration of first division competitions in the state. Historically known as the Victorian State League and later as the Victorian Premier League, the league was first founded in 1908 as the Victorian Amateur League and would soon become the Victorian First Division.
