After Japan declared in 1938 that it would be unable to host 1940 Olympics in Tokyo due to the ongoing Second Sino-Japanese War, Helsinki had been selected to host the 1940 Summer Olympics, which were then cancelled due to World War II. Tokyo eventually hosted the games in 1964. Helsinki is the northernmost city at which a summer Olympic Games have been held. Tresigallo
Tresigallo ( Ferrarese: ) is an Italian municipality in the province of Ferrara, which is in the region of Emilia-Romagna. It has about 4,700 inhabitants. Despite its medieval origins, to which only a 16th-century palace (Palazzo Pio) of the House of Este bears witness today, it was transformed by the Fascist Minister of Agriculture Edmondo Rossoni, who was born in Tresigallo in 1884. The games signalled the arrival (to Western Europeans at least) of the Hungarian national football team – the "Magical Magyars". Forwards (also known as attackers) are outfield positions in an association football team who play the furthest up the pitch and are therefore most responsible for scoring goals as well as assisting them. As with any attacking player, the role of the forward relies heavily on being able to create space for attack.
