Alberto Arnal
Albert Arnal ( Serra (Camp de Túria) 31 January 1913 - Quart de Poblet (Horta Oest) 1 May 1966), known as Quart (or Xiquet de Quart) was the Valencian pilota ruling ''dauer'' player during the 1930s. His mastery caused him to be rewarded by having a picture on the ''Honor Gallery'' of the Pelayo trinquet. On 1991 the Valencian Pilota Federation awarded him with the Golden medal. He began playing at the Manises trinquet and got to be the main player at the Pelayo ''trinquet'' during the 1930s and 1940s. He was announced with a not too-gifted ''punter'' against the most powerful trios (such as Llíria I, Mora de Montcada and Micalet de Paterna). Due to disagreements with the Pelayo managers, he turned to play at the Grau ''Llevant trinquet''. On 1948, almost at the end of his career, his returning to Pelayo against Juliet d'Alginet resulted in a large audience. ''Quart'' was a strong and tall player, powerful enough that he could throw the vaqueta ball easily to the ''galleries'' ...

People From Camp De Túria
A person ( : people) is a being that has certain capacities or attributes such as reason, morality, consciousness or self-consciousness, and being a part of a culturally established form of social relations such as kinship, ownership of property, or legal responsibility. The defining features of personhood and, consequently, what makes a person count as a person, differ widely among cultures and contexts. In addition to the question of personhood, of what makes a being count as a person to begin with, there are further questions about personal identity and self: both about what makes any particular person that particular person instead of another, and about what makes a person at one time the same person as they were or will be at another time despite any intervening changes. The plural form "people" is often used to refer to an entire nation or ethnic group (as in "a people"), and this was the original meaning of the word; it subsequently acquired its use as a plural form of per ...

Vaqueta Ball
The vaqueta ball ( ca-valencia, pilota de vaqueta, , ) is the kind of ball used to play some Valencian pilota variants, including Escala i corda, Galotxa and Raspall. Its name derives from the fact that it is made of bull's skin. It has a black colour that tends to become brown as it is used, and is designed to contrast with the white colour of the trinquets' walls. Traits The ''vaqueta'' ball has a diameter of (giving it a circumference of ), and its weight is around , depending on the variant. In Escala i corda lighter balls are preferred, while in Raspall heavier balls are used. The actual weight of the balls has changed over time. In the 1930s, pilotaris such as Quart played with balls around . The lighter the ball the slower it goes and the less it ''flies'' (its direction). This change of weight has been favoured by ''rest'' players, who tend to be stronger and have to send the ball longer, but it is an extra handicap for ''mitger'' and ''punter'' players, who have to ...

Valencian Trinquet
Valencian trinquet, or simply trinquet (), is the court used in the Valencian Community for two different modalities of Valencian pilota: the Escala i corda and the Raspall. Court Trinquets are closed rooms of variable size: from 8.5–11 m wide and 45–60 m long. The short walls are called "frontons", and the long are the "muralles", 4–6 m high. The ball may bounce at them as many times as desired. On the ''frontons'' there are usually seats for the spectators, these are called the "galleries". And sometimes on the ''muralles'', too. There are also stairs (''escales'' in Valencian) built on one of the ''muralles''. Spectators may seat on them as well at their own risk. The ball is played many times on them since the stairs (and bodies of the people) may cause fast and unexpected bounces. The court is divided in two midfields, the "dau" and the "rest". On the corner of the "dau" ''frontó'' and the stairs there is a square draw on the ground, it's the dau (''dice'' in Val ...
