Albert Talipeau
Albert "Alby" Talipeau (born 15 August 1981) is a rugby league footballer who plays as a or for the Eastern Suburbs Tigers in the Queensland Cup competition. Playing career Talipeau has previously played for Cronulla De La Salle; in the National Rugby League for the Sydney Roosters; in the Queensland Cup for the Wynnum Manly Seagulls; and in the Super League for the Wakefield Trinity, Wakefield Trinity Wildcats. Talipeau was awarded Man of the Match in the 2008 Queensland Cup Grand Final, when playing for the Souths Logan Magpies. Representative career Talipeau is a Samoa national rugby league team, Samoan international and played at the 2000 Rugby League World Cup. He played in the 2008 Rugby League World Cup, and has been named in the squad for the 2009 Pacific Cup. On 2 May 2015 he played for Niue national rugby league team, Niue in a match against South Africa national rugby league team, South Africa. Sydney Roosters
The Sydney Roosters are an Australian professional Rugby league, Rugby League Football Club based in the Eastern Suburbs (Sydney) and parts of inner Sydney. The club competes in the National Rugby League (NRL) competition. The Roosters have won fifteen New South Wales Rugby League premiership, New South Wales Rugby League (NSWRL) and National Rugby League titles, and several other competitions. First founded as the Eastern Suburbs District Rugby League Football Club (ESDRLFC), it is the only club to have played in each and every season at the elite level, and since the 1970s has often been dubbed the glamour club of the league. The Sydney Roosters have won 15 premierships, equal to the record of the St George Dragons. Only the South Sydney Rabbitohs have won more premierships. South Africa National Rugby League Team
The South Africa national rugby league team to date have competed at two Rugby League World Cups in 1995 and 2000. Rugby league was originally introduced to South Africa in the 1950s with the staging of several series tournaments within the country that saw fixtures between the English and the French however this concept failed to generate the needed interest and was not upheld. The South Africans did not see further international rugby league until the 1960s where the first national side undertook fixtures against the visiting British and a tour to Australia. From the 1960s onwards the international fixture list for the South Africans was minimal and it was not until the early 1990s when they began to play with some lasting regularity.
