Albert Korir (born 2 March 1994) is a Kenyan long-distance runner. Career In 2017, Korir won the Vienna City Marathon with a time of 2:08:40. In 2019, he won the Houston Marathon with a time of 2:10:02. In this year he also won the marathon event of the Ottawa Race Weekend with a new personal best of 2:08:03. In November 2019, he finished in 2nd place in the New York City Marathon with a time of 2:08:36. Korir won the 2021 New York City Marathon The 2021 New York City Marathon, the 50th running of that city's premier long-distance race, was held on November 7, 2021. 2019 New York City Marathon
The 2019 New York City Marathon was the 49th running of the annual marathon race held in New York City, United States, which took place on November 3, 2019. The men's race was won by Kenyan Geoffrey Kamworor in a time of 2:08:13. The women's race was won in 2:22:38 by Kenyan Joyciline Jepkosgei, making her official debut at the distance. The men and women's wheelchair races, were won by American Daniel Romanchuk (1:37:24) and Switzerland's Manuela Schär (1:44:20), respectively. A total of 53,508 runners finished the race, comprising 30,794 men and 22,714 women. Course The marathon distance is officially long as sanctioned by World Athletics (IAAF). Cape Town Marathon
The Sanlam Cape Town Marathon is a City Marathon (42.2 km) held in Cape Town, South Africa, first held in its current form in 2007. Available distances include the marathon, a 10K, a 5K, and two trail runs of length 22 km and 12 km. The marathon is held on a fast and flat course, starting and finishing in Green Point, near the Cape Town Stadium. The Cape Town Marathon is also the host of the South African marathon championships.
