Albert Fisher (January 2, 1864 – March 15, 1942) was a pioneer in the burgeoning auto industry in Detroit. He was the uncle of the seven Fisher brothers, founders of Fisher Body. Albert Fisher built some of the first bodies for many automobiles and trucks. He built the first touring car body for Henry Ford.The Detroit News, March 16, 1942, p 4 He was one of those whose efforts started the industry that transformed Detroit into one of the great metropolitan centers of the nation. Albert Kenrick Fisher (21 March 1856 – 12 June 1948) was an American ornithologist, known for his 1893 boo''The Hawks and Owls of the United States in Their Relation to Agriculture'' Fisher was born in Sing Sing, New York (now Ossining), where he graduated from Holbrook's Military High School; in 1879 he graduated from the College of Physicians and Surgeons of New York. He practiced medicine in Sing Sing until 1885. In 1883 he was a founding member of the American Ornithologists' Union. To study the role of birds in controlling insect pests, the U. S. Commissioner of Agriculture in July 1885 appointed C. Hart Merriam to create a Branch of Economic Ornithology in the U.S.D.A. He led the team to the 2008 NCAA tournament while averaging 14 points per game. The Albert Fisher Mansion and Carriage House, at 1206 West 200 South in Salt Lake City, Utah, United States, was designed by architect Richard K.A. Kletting and was built in 1893.
