Albert Campbell (singer)
Albert Charles Campbell (August 17, 1872 – January 25, 1947) was an American popular music singer who recorded between the late 1890s and the 1920s. He was best known for his many duo recordings with Henry Burr, and as a member of the Peerless Quartet and other vocal groups, but also recorded successfully as a solo singer both under his own name and under various pseudonyms including Frank Howard. Biography He was born in Brooklyn, New York, and while in his teens worked for the music publishers Edward B. Marks and Jos. W. Stern. When Marks and Stern organized the Universal Phonograph Company in early 1897, Campbell began recording for them as part of the Diamond Quartette (aka Diamond Four) and Diamond Comedy Four (with Steve Porter, Jim Reynard and Billy Jones). These groups soon began recording discs for the Berliner Gramophone Co., and Campbell began recording solo vocal records for Reed, Dawson & Co., the Norcross Phonograph Co., Berliner Gramophone, Columbia Phonograp ... Albert Ralph Campbell
Albert Ralph Campbell (April 8, 1875 – December 4, 1925) was an American Private serving in the United States Marine Corps during the Boxer Rebellion who received the Medal of Honor for bravery. Biography Campbell was born April 8, 1875, in Williamsport, Pennsylvania, and after entering the Marine Corps he was sent as a private to China to fight in the Boxer Rebellion. He died December 4, 1925, and is buried in Forest Lawn Memorial Park Glendale, California. Medal of Honor citation Rank and organization: Private, U.S. Marine Corps. Albert Campbell (dogsled Racer)
Albert Campbell (17 April 1894 – 30 November 1961) was French-Cree (Métis) Canadian musher and trapper. He gained popularity as a Canadian "national hero" after winning the 1917 Red River Derby sled dog race. Life Campbell was born in The Pas, Manitoba to the family of a Cree father John Campbell (1875 – 1917) and a French mother Adeline Beauchamp (1877 – ?). He won ''The Pas Dog Derby'' in 1916, the first annual of long dog sled race held in his hometown as a part of ''Northern Manitoba Trappers' Festival''. However, he became best known in 1917 for winning the ''Red River Derby'', the Winnipeg – Saint Paul dog sled race, which was part of the Saint Paul Winter Carnival organized by the ''Saint Paul Outdoor Sports Carnival Association'' from 27 January to 3 February 1917. Albert McTaggart "Ab" Campbell (1910–1973) was a Canadian politician and the Chairman of Metropolitan Toronto from 1969 to 1973. Background Campbell was born on a family farm in Ridgetown, Ontario, in 1910 to John M. Campbell and Isabella McTaggart. He attended the Ontario Agricultural College at Guelph and graduated with a B.S.C. from the University of Toronto in 1933. After leaving the family farm he was, for almost 15 years, a secondary school teacher teaching chemistry, physics and math. In 1944, he moved to Scarborough to settle on his wife's family farm (Helen E. Huber) which they inherited after her uncle's death, James G. Cornell, the same year. Campbell kept the family farm on Lot 18, Concession C, bound by Eglinton Avenue, Kingston Road and Markham Road, until the end of his life despite the transformation of Scarborough from a semi-rural community to a metropolitan suburb. Albert Campbell (born 4 January 1938 in Belfast, Northern Ireland) is a former footballer who played with Crusaders in the Irish League in the 1960s, and who won two full international caps for Northern Ireland (the first Crusaders player to be capped): against Wales in the 1963 Home Internationals and Switzerland in a World Cup match in 1964. He also won a 'B' international cap against France in 1959. With Crusaders, he won the Ulster Cup and County Antrim Shield, and was part of the club's first Irish Cup-winning teams in 1967 and 1968. The Campbell brothers was an American criminal duo that were active in Boston, Massachusetts for several decades during the mid-20th century. The duo consisted of two brothers: Arnold S.
