Albany Polecats
The Albany Polecats were a minor league baseball team in Albany, Georgia. They were a low-A-class team that played in the South Atlantic League and were a farm team affiliated with both the Montreal Expos and the Baltimore Orioles during the franchise's tenure in Albany. They played all of their home games at the Paul Eames Sports Complex. While at Paul Eames Sports Complex during their tenure, the stadium was dubbed "Polecat Park," even though the venue was officially named after Paul Eames, a minor-league baseball legend. During the team’s four years in the South Atlantic League, the Polecats never finished higher than eighth overall in the fourteen-team league. Subpar performance coupled with poor attendance proved too much to bear for the struggling franchise. Prior the 1996 season, the Albany Polecats were sold and moved north to Salisbury, Maryland, where the franchise became the current-day Delmarva Shorebirds. Trace Coquillette
Trace Robert Coquillette (born June 4, 1974 in Carmichael, California) is a retired Major League Baseball third baseman and second baseman. He played during two seasons at the major league level for the Montreal Expos. Career Coquillette attended Casa Roble High School in Sacramento County, California where, in 1992, he was named first team all-city by the ''Sacramento Bee'' along with Derrek Lee and Geoff Jenkins. He played one season of college baseball at Sacramento City College in 1993 before being drafted by the Montreal Expos in the tenth round of the 1993 Major League Baseball Draft. Coquillette was assigned to the Gulf Coast Expos to begin his professional career in . Rafael Alberto "Al" Reyes (born April 10, 1970) is a former Major League Baseball pitcher. A right-handed pitcher and career reliever, he played for seven teams; debuting on April 27, 1995, with the Milwaukee Brewers and playing for the Baltimore Orioles, Los Angeles Dodgers, Pittsburgh Pirates, New York Yankees, St. Louis Cardinals, and Tampa Bay Devil Rays/Rays, over the years. Jeremy Robert Powell (born June 18, 1976) is an American former professional baseball player. He is currently the pitching coach for the AAA New Orleans Baby Cakes. He played for the Montreal Expos in Major League Baseball (MLB). Simon Emilio Pond (born October 27, 1976) is a former Canadian first baseman, third baseman, and outfielder in Major League Baseball. Born in North Vancouver, British Columbia, he was originally selected by the Montreal Expos in the 8th round of the 1994 amateur draft (224th overall), and played in the Expos' farm system until 2000, when he was traded to the Cleveland Indians. Bradley Ryan Fullmer (born January 17, 1975) is a former Major League Baseball first baseman and designated hitter. In an eight-year career, he played for the Montreal Expos (1997–1999), Toronto Blue Jays (2000–2001), Anaheim Angels (2002–2003), and the Texas Rangers (2004).
