The Albania women's national volleyball team is the national team of Albania. It is governed by the Albanian Volleyball Federation and takes part in international volleyball competitions. History The team won at the 1987 Mediterranean Games in Syria. Winning in Volleyball at the 1987 Mediterranean Games the golden medal. Winning all of their 5 matches and losing two sets against Italy 3-1 and against Greece winning with 3-1. The team would beat Turkey and Lebanon with 3-0 set wins. The Albanian Volleyball Federation (FSHV) ( sq, Federata Shqiptare e Volejbollit) is the head governing body for the sport of professional volleyball in Albania. It organises the first division, second division leagues and a cup competition. History The Albanian Volleyball Federation was found on 2 September 1945. In September 1949, the FSHV became a full-fledged member of the Fédération Internationale de Volleyball ''(FIVB)'' and a member of the European Volleyball Confederation ''(CEV)''.
