Altheim (Ehingen)
Altheim () is a municipality in the district of Alb-Donau in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. History In the 13th century, Altheim was a possession of the Lordship of Steußlingen. The township was mediatized to the Kingdom of Württemberg in 1805 and it was assigned to . Altheim was reassigned to in 1810 and remained in that district when it was reorganized in 1938 into . After World War II, Altheim, still a ''haufendorf'' with two separate town centers, began an urban spread to the west. Ehingen (Donau) (; Swabian: ''Eegne'') is a town in the Alb-Donau district in Baden-Württemberg, Germany, situated on the left bank of the Danube, approx. southwest of Ulm and southeast of Stuttgart. Munderkingen
Munderkingen () is the smallest town in the district of Alb-Donau in Baden-Württemberg in Germany. It is situated on the Danube, 9 km southwest of Ehingen, and 31 km southwest of Ulm. Buildings Danube Bridge The so-called "New Danube Bridge" 1893 was the first massive concrete arch bridge, which was built with an arch span of more than 50 m: Engineer Karl Leibbrand from Stuttgart was the builder, the work was carried out by the construction company Buck from Ehingen. The bridge was busted in World War II, on April 22, 1945, by retreating German engineering troops. Reconstruction began immediately after the war. Schelklingen is a town in the district of Alb-Donau in Baden-Württemberg in Germany. It is situated 10 km north of Ehingen, and 20 km west of Ulm. Erbach an der Donau is a town on the Danube River in Baden-Württemberg, Germany. Located in the Alb-Donau District, Erbach lies between Ulm and Ehingen an der Donau on the southern edge of the Swabian Jura. History The oldest known mention of Erbach was in the Konstanz Tithe Book in 1275 as a parish called ''Irlebach'', although findings dating from the Neolithic Age indicate the area around Erbach was settled earlier. Günzburg (district)
Günzburg is a ''Landkreis'' (district) in Swabia, Bavaria, Germany. Its capital is the town Günzburg. It is bounded by (from the north and clockwise) the districts of Dillingen, Augsburg, Unterallgäu and Neu-Ulm, and by the state of Baden-Württemberg (districts Alb-Donau and Heidenheim). History In the early Middle Ages the tiny county of Burgau ruled the region.
