Alar Varrak
Alar Varrak (born 20 April 1982) is an Estonian basketball coach and a former point guard. He is the assistant coach of Kalev/Cramo of in the VTB United League. Career Varrak was born in Jõgeva, and spent his short playing career in the Estonian League. In 2008 he became the assistant coach of Kalev/Cramo and succeeded Aivar Kuusmaa as the head coach on 24 November 2012. Varrak was fired from Kalev/Cramo in November 2017. In January 2018 he became the head coach of Lithuanian League team Dzūkija Alytus. He left due to health reasons in April. In July 2018 he was elected as the sporting director of the Estonian Basketball Association. He resigned from the sporting director position in July 2019 and signed with Russian Basketball Super League 1 team Ural Yekaterinburg. He was fired from the team in November 2019 due to poor results. Assistant Coach
A sports coach is a person coaching in sport, involved in the direction, instruction and training of a sports team or athlete. Delfi (occasionally capitalized as DELFI) is a news website in Estonia, Latvia, and Lithuania providing daily news, ranging from gardening to politics. It ranks as one of the most popular websites among Baltic users. Delfi operates in the respective Baltic countries under the domain names delfi.ee, delfi.lv, and delfi.lt. Aside from versions in the Estonian, Latvian, and Lithuanian languages, the company offers Russian language versions of its portal in all three countries. On 12 March 2012, Delfi started a Polish version under pl.delfi.lt. A year later an English version was added under en.delfi.lt. In March 2014 delfi.ua version was closed. Baltic Basketball League
Baltic Basketball League (BBL) was the Baltic states basketball league founded in 2004. The league mainly focused on teams from the Baltic states, but teams from Sweden, Russia, Kazakhstan, Finland, and Belarus have participated in the Baltic League. After the 2017–18 season, the league announced that it was suspending its operations. History For the 2015–16 season, the format of the BBL included a regular season composed by two groups of seven teams that competed in a round-robin competition system, with each team facing their opponent twice. Estonian Basketball Association
The Estonian Basketball Association ( et, Eesti Korvpalliliit) is the governing body of basketball in Estonia. It was founded in 1923, and joined FIBA in 1934. After 1940 though, they suspended operations due to being occupied by the Soviet Union. The Estonian Basketball Association operates the Estonian men's national team and Estonian women's national team. They organize national competitions throughout Estonia, for both the men's and women's senior teams and also the youth national basketball teams.
