Alanreed is an unincorporated community and census-designated place (CDP) in Gray County, Texas, United States. It is part of the Pampa, Texas Micropolitan Statistical Area. It was first listed as a CDP in the 2020 census with a population of 23. Description The community was named for Messrs. Alan and Reed, partners in the contracting firm that laid out the present townsite for the Choctaw, Oklahoma and Texas Railroad in 1900. A census-designated place (CDP) is a concentration of population defined by the United States Census Bureau for statistical purposes only. 2020 United States Census
The United States census of 2020 was the twenty-fourth decennial United States census. Census Day, the reference day used for the census, was April 1, 2020. Other than a pilot study during the 2000 census, this was the first U.S. census to offer options to respond online or by phone, in addition to the paper response form used for previous censuses.
