Alangudi Somu
Alangudi Somu (12 December 1932 − 6 June 1997) was an Indian Tamil film lyricist who wrote many popular songs in several films. He was active in the field from 1960 till late 1990s. About Alangudi Somu born on 12 December 1932 in Alangudi village that come under the Sivaganga Lok Sabha constituency and located in Sivaganga district, Tamil Nadu. He was introduced to the Tamil film industry by his friend and poet Puratchidasan. Career As a Lyricist He started life as a lyricist with the song ''Ambalaikku Pombalai Avasiyandhaan'' for the film Yanai Paagan sung by A. L. Raghavan and L. R. Eswari. Many of his songs were written in praise of Hindu Gods like ''Kanda Un Vasalile'' (sung by T. M. Tamil cinema, also known as Kollywood is a part of Indian Cinema; primarily engaged in production of motion pictures in the Tamil language. Amresh Ganesh
Amresh Ganesh is an Indian actor, film composer and singer, who has worked in Tamil language films. The son of actress Jayachitra, Amresh appeared as an actor in his mother's productions ''Pudhiya Raagam'' (1991) and then in ''Naane Ennul Illai'' (2010), before working as a music composer in the late 2010s. Career Amresh Ganesh was born to industrialist Ganesh and film actress Jayachitra, with the actress launching him as a child artiste in ''Pudhiya Raagam'' (1991) before relaunching him as an actor several years later. Amresh first gained attention by composing for a four-language music album titled ''Jeevitham'', which was released in 2008 and featured singers including S. P. Balasubrahmanyam, Karthik and Sujatha. ''Enga Veettu Pillai'' () is a 1965 Indian Tamil-language masala film written by Sakthi T. K. Krishnasamy and directed by Chanakya. A remake of his own 1964 Telugu film ''Ramudu Bheemudu'', it stars M. G. Ramachandran and B. Saroja Devi, with S. V. Ranga Rao, M. N. Nambiar, Rathna and Pandari Bai in supporting roles. The film is about two identical but contrasting twins who were separated at birth, and what happens when they cross paths. ''Enga Veettu Pillai'' was produced by B. Nagi Reddy and Chakrapani. ''Poompuhar'' is a 1964 Indian Tamil-language epic film directed by P. Neelakantan and written by M. Karunanidhi. It is the second film based on the epic ''Cilappatikaram'' after ''Kannagi'' (1942). Plot Kovalan, the son of a wealthy merchant in the city of Kaveripattinam, marries Kannagi, the daughter of another merchant.
