Allan Roberts (March 12, 1905 – January 14, 1966) was an American musician and songwriter, whose songs, co-written with Doris Fisher and other writers, were successfully recorded by the Mills Brothers, Ella Fitzgerald, the Ink Spots, Billie Holiday, the Andrews Sisters, Marilyn Monroe, Perry Como, and many others. Alan Robert (born 1971) is an American musician and comic book creator, known as the bassist for the alternative metal band Life of Agony, his work on his graphic novels ''Wire Hangers'', '' Crawl to Me'' and ''Killogy'', as well as his horror-themed adult coloring book series ''The Beauty of Horror''. Career Robert graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from New York's School of Visual Arts, where he studied cartooning under teacher Walter Simonson. Music Robert is credited as being one of the original members of the Brooklyn, NY-based band, Life of Agony, in 1989, and is the band's primary songwriter. In 2006, Robert announced the creation of a punk rock band Spoiler NYC, which he formed with long-time friend, "Junkyard" Silletti and Tommy Clayton. Allan Roberts (28 October 1943 – 21 March 1990) was a British Labour Party politician who served as the Member of Parliament (MP) for Bootle from 1979 until his death. A teacher and social worker before his election, he was a member of the left wing of the party. Early life Roberts was from a working-class background, the son of a baker and a machinist. He was born in Droylsden on the eastern side of Manchester, and went to Littlemoss Boys' County Secondary School. He first trained as a teacher at Ashton-under-Lyne College of Education and Didsbury College of Education. He joined the Labour Party while still a teenager in 1959, and the next year also joined the Campaign for Nuclear Disarmament. He unsuccessfully fought the Hazel Grove constituency in the February and October 1974 elections. 2009–10 Miami RedHawks Men's Basketball Team
The 2009–10 Miami RedHawks basketball team will represent Miami University in the college basketball season of 2009–10. The team is coached by Charlie Coles and will play their homes game in Millett Hall. Before the season Roster changes The RedHawks lost two starters from last season, however they were able to keep one when forward Kenny Hayes was able to earn a Medical Redshirt and return to the team in 2009–10. The two players that Miami lost were 2009 MAC Basketball Player of the Year Michael Bramos and Tyler Dierkers, who earned the team a combined 28.1 points per game. Alan Roberts (born 8 December 1964) is an English former footballer who made 203 appearances in the Football League playing for Middlesbrough, Darlington, Sheffield United and Lincoln City in the 1980s. He played on the right wing, and had pace and a direct style. Roberts was a regular in the Sheffield United side promoted from the Third Division in 1988–89, his only full season with the club, and provided numerous assists for the forward line. Transfer-listed at his own request early the following season, he joined Lincoln City in October 1989 for a £60,000 fee. Alan Clive Roberts (28 April 1934 – 1 December 2021) was a British materials scientist, consultant and engineer who specialised in biomaterials, clinical prosthetics and implants in reconstructive surgery. He specialised in the research, development and the use of tissue adhesives in wound management. He is known by some as the "father of tissue adhesive". He was awarded the Prince Philip Medal for research in the field of implantation materials in 1970, the MBE in 1982, and the OBE for contributions to science and technology in 2002. He was director of the Centre for Clinical Prosthetics at the Bradford Teaching Hospitals NHS Trust and Professor of Biomaterials in Surgery at the Academic Surgical Unit of the University of Hull.
