Alan Murray (born 5 December 1949) is an English former football player, coach and manager. Biography Born in Newcastle upon Tyne, Murray spent the first years of his playing career at Middlesbrough, gradually honing his coaching skills as he struggled to break into the first team. He later moved on to York City, Brentford and Doncaster Rovers before finishing his playing career at Frickley Athletic. His coaching skills were put to the test at Hartlepool United in 1991 when, with boss Cyril Knowles battling against a brain tumour that was to eventually prove fatal, Murray was shuffled from his chief executive role to the position of manager. Alan Robert Murray (July 30, 1954 – February 24, 2021) was an American sound editor. Murray was nominated for ten Academy Awards. In 2007, Murray won the Academy Award for Best Sound Editing for his work on ''Letters from Iwo Jima'' (2005). In 2015, Murray won his second Academy Award for Best Sound Editing for his work on ''American Sniper'' (2014). He shared both awards with Bub Asman. Murray earned his tenth nomination at the 92nd Academy Awards for Best Sound Editing for '' Joker'', setting record for the Sound Editing category. He died in Los Angeles on February 24, 2021, at age 66. Allan Murray
Allan Murray (born 20 May 1982) is a former professional Australian rules footballer who played with both Port Adelaide and St Kilda in the Australian Football League. He was recruited as the number 35 draft pick in the 2000 AFL Draft from Lavington. He made his debut for Port Adelaide in Round 19, 2002 against Carlton. He was traded to St Kilda and put on their rookie list at the end of the 2002 season. He was then elevated from the rookie list later that year and made his debut for the Saints in Round 10 of the 2003 season, scoring four goals against Hawthorn. Despite his impressive debut for the Saints, Murray's playing opportunities with the club were limited. He was delisted by St Kilda at the end of the 2006 season, after playing 15 games for the club in four seasons, and will line up for former St Kilda assistant coach Mick McGuane for the Balwyn Tigers.
