Alan Mitchell (born 1960 in London, England) was a writer. He died on 22 June 2016. Biography When Mitchell was working as a shop manager for Acme Comics in Coldharbour Lane in Brixton, South London,Brooks, Brad! "International Spotlight: Frank Bellamy: ''Dan Dare'' Artist Exhibited at South London Gallery," ''The Comics Journal'' #131 (Sept. 1989), pp. 13–14. in 1988, he met Pat Mills. The two became writing partners. In ''Crisis'', a political comic from Fleetway, Mitchell worked on Books 2 and 3 of ''Third World War''. The story covered issues including matriarchy, police racism, no-go areas, private police forces, class war, and black resistance. Mitchell also wrote the Amnesty International story "Prisoner of Justice" with artist Glenn Fabry. Mitchell partnered Mills in the first ''ABC Warriors'' novel ''The Medusa War'' for Black Library based on elements changed or removed from the scripts. Carlos Sanchez Ezquerra (12 November 1947 – 1 October 2018) was a Spanish comics artist who worked mainly in British comics. He is best known as the co-creator of ''Judge Dredd''. Biography Early work Born in Ibdes, province of Zaragoza, Aragon, Ezquerra started his career drawing westerns and war stories for Spanish publishers. In 1973, he got work in the UK market through agent Barry Coker, drawing for girls' romance titles such as '' Valentine'' and ''Mirabelle'', as well as westerns for Thorpe & Porter's ''Pocket Western Library'', and a variety of adventure strips for D. ''Toxic!'' was a British comic that was published weekly from March 28 to October 24, 1991, by Apocalypse Ltd, with a total of 31 issues. History ''Toxic!'' was the idea of Pat Mills, Kevin O'Neill, Mike McMahon, John Wagner and Alan Grant. The aim was to provide creators an outlet for their work to be published with them retaining the rights and control of their work. This was in contrast to '' 2000 AD'', which Mills had also launched in 1977. ''Toxic!'' was to be the main rival of ''2000 AD'', and would be in ful- colour throughout (as opposed to ''2000 AD'', which was still mainly published in black and white). ''Toxic!'' was published by Apocalypse Ltd, an offshoot of Neptune Distribution based in South Wigston, Leicester. Duncan Fegredo (; born 1964) is a People of the United Kingdom, British comic book artist. Career Born in Leicester, Fegredo first managed to get into comics after showing his portfolio around UKCAC in 1987 and meeting Dave Thorpe. Together they worked on a strip for a short lived British magazine called ''Heartbreak Hotel''. After this, Fegredo worked at ''Crisis (Fleetway), Crisis'' for Fleetway before working on ''Kid Eternity'' at DC Comics with writer Grant Morrison.
