Alan Hunt (New Zealand Cricketer)
Alan James Hunt (born 27 September 1959) is a former New Zealand cricketer and current coach. He played 67 first-class and 37 List A matches for Auckland between 1980 and 1993. Hunt was a middle-order batsman and occasional off-spin bowler. His highest first-class score was 102 not out for Auckland against Otago in 1990–91. In List A cricket his best performance was with the ball, when he took 5 for 27 off nine overs against Canterbury in 1985–86. In January 1991 he captained the New Zealand Emerging Players team in a first-class match against the touring Sri Lankans. Hunt was the coach of Central Districts from 2010–11 to 2012–13; they won The Ford Trophy in 2011–12 and the Plunket Shield in 2012–13. Dunedin

Central Districts Cricket Team
The Central Stags, formerly known as Central Districts, are a first-class cricket team based in central New Zealand. They are the men's representative side of the Central Districts Cricket Association. They compete in the Plunket Shield first-class competition, The Ford Trophy domestic one-day competition and the Men's Super Smash Twenty20 competition. Lance Cairns
Bernard Lance Cairns (born 10 October 1949) is a former all-rounder who played for the New Zealand cricket team, and is the father of New Zealand cricketer Chris Cairns. He was also known for the unusual bat he played with throughout much of his career. Known as "Excalibur", the shoulders of the bat were planed down to form a conical rather than rectangular shape. Cairns was a swing bowler with an unorthodox 'front on' action. He took 130 Test Match wickets and 89 ODI wickets. He took ten wickets in New Zealand's first ever win on English soil, at Headingley in 1983. Plunket Shield
New Zealand has had a domestic first-class cricket championship since the 1906–07 season. Since the 2009–10 season it has been known by its original name of the Plunket Shield. History The Plunket Shield competition was instigated in October 1906 with the donation of a shield by William Plunket, 5th Baron Plunket, who was the Governor-General of New Zealand from 1904 to 1910. For the 1906–07 inaugural season, the Shield was allotted by the New Zealand Cricket Council "to the Association whose representative team it considers to have the best record for the season". After the Council awarded the Shield to Canterbury, chiefly because Canterbury were the only provincial team to beat the visiting MCC, Auckland representatives complained that Auckland should have received the Shield as their team was superior but had not had the chance to prove it as none of the other provincial teams had played Auckland during the season. The Ford Trophy is the main domestic List A limited overs cricket competition in New Zealand. Previous sponsor State Insurance did not renew naming rights in 2009, resulting in the competition being renamed the ''New Zealand Cricket one-day competition''. The competition was renamed the Ford Trophy following a partnership between New Zealand Cricket and Ford Motor Company in 2011. Sri Lankan Cricket Team In New Zealand In 1990–91
The Sri Lankan national cricket team toured New Zealand January to March 1991 and played a three-match Test series against the New Zealand national cricket team. The series was drawn 0–0. New Zealand were captained by Martin Crowe and Sri Lanka by Arjuna Ranatunga. In addition, the teams played a three-match series of Limited Overs Internationals (LOI) which New Zealand won 3–0. Auckland Cricket Team
The Auckland cricket team represent the Auckland region and are one of six New Zealand domestic first class cricket teams. Governed by the Auckland Cricket Association they are the most successful side having won 28 Plunket Shield titles, ten wins in The Ford Trophy and the Super Smash four times. The side currently play their home games at Eden Park Outer Oval. The limited overs side, known as the Auckland Aces, have a predominantly light blue kit with a navy and white trim. Their One Day Championship shirt sponsors are Ford whilst their major T20 sponsor is Mondiale. They won the Men's Super Smash competition in the 2015–16 season, their 4th domestic Twenty20 title overall, making them become the most successful team in New Zealand.
