Louise Suggs
Mae Louise Suggs (September 7, 1923 – August 7, 2015) was an American professional golfer, one of the founders of the LPGA Tour and thus modern ladies' golf. Amateur career Born in Atlanta, Suggs had a very successful amateur career, beginning as a teenager. She won the Georgia State Amateur in 1940 at age 16 and again in 1942, was the Southern Amateur Champion in 1941 and 1947, and won the North and South Women's Amateur three times (1942, 1946, 1948). She won the 1946 and 1947 Women's Western Amateur and the 1946 and 1947 Women's Western Open, which was designated as a major championship when the LPGA was founded. Murle Lindstrom
Murle MacKenzie Lindstrom Breer (born January 20, 1939) is an American professional golfer best known for winning the 1962 U.S. Women's Open. She competed as Murle MacKenzie until her first marriage in 1961, then as Murle Lindstrom until her second marriage in 1969. Breer was born in St. Petersburg, Florida. She joined the LPGA Tour in 1958. Her first Tour victory came in a major championship in 1962, when she defeated Jo Ann Prentice and Ruth Jessen by one stroke in the U.S. Women's Open which was held at the Dunes Golf Club in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. Breer enjoyed three more Tour victories in the 1960s and one mixed team win in the 1970s. She retired as a touring professional in 1984. Marlene Hagge (née Bauer; born February 16, 1934) is an American former professional golfer. She was one of the thirteen founders of the LPGA in 1950. Sandra Haynie
Sandra Jane Haynie (born June 4, 1943) is an American former professional golfer on the LPGA Tour starting in 1961. She won four major championships, 42 LPGA Tour career events, and is a member of the World Golf Hall of Fame. Amateur career Haynie was born in Fort Worth, Texas. She won the 1957-58 Texas State Publinx and the 1958-59 Texas Amateur. She also captured the 1960 Trans-Mississippi title. Professional career Haynie joined the LPGA Tour in 1961 at the age of 18 and she achieved her first professional title championship in 1962 at age 19 at the Austin Civitan Open.
