Died 11 December 2020 Alain le Pichon (born 29 November 1944) is a French Anthropologist. With Umberto Eco Umberto Eco (5 January 1932 – 19 February 2016) was an Italian medievalist, philosopher, semiotician, novelist, cultural critic, and political and social commentator. In English, he is best known for his popular 1980 novel ''The Name of the ... he founded Transcultura, an international institute, of which he became the president. In October 2010, Transcultura was given the role of organising th EU-China High Level Cultural Forum. The French people (french: Français) are an ethnic group and nation primarily located in Western Europe that share a common French culture, history, and language, identified with the country of France.
