Alain Berger (ice Hockey)
Alain Berger (born December 27, 1990) is a Switzerland, Swiss former professional ice hockey Forward (ice hockey), forward who most notably played for SC Bern of the National League (ice hockey), National League (NL). Playing career Originally developing with SC Bern in Switzerland, Berger played two seasons of major junior hockey in the Ontario Hockey League with the Oshawa Generals, but was not drafted by a National Hockey League club. On April 8, 2011, the Montreal Canadiens signed Berger as a free agent to three-year entry-level contract. Berger returned to play for SC Bern on December 11, 2012, after he was granted a release in the midst of his contract with the Canadiens. On January 20, 2017, Berger was suspended for two games and fined CHF 2,420 for a hit to the head of EHC Kloten's Lukas Stoop. Burgdorf, Switzerland
Burgdorf (french: Berthoud; High Alemannic: ''Bùùrdlef'') is the largest city in the Emmental in the canton of Bern in Switzerland. It was the capital of the district of the same name until 2010, when it became part of the new Emmental district. History Scattered archeological finds indicate that the area around Burgdorf was inhabited during the Neolithic era, the Late Bronze Age and the Hallstatt. During the High Middle Ages the land that would become Burgdorf was owned by the Kingdom of Burgundy and then after 1080 by the Dukes of Zähringen. Either the kings or the dukes built a castle on the left bank of the Emme river. Goal (ice Hockey)
In ice hockey, a goal is scored when the puck entirely crosses the goal line between the two goal posts and below the goal crossbar. A goal awards one point to the team attacking the goal scored upon, regardless of which team the player who actually deflected the puck into the goal belongs to (see also own goal). 2012–13 AHL Season
The 2012–13 AHL season was the 77th season of the American Hockey League. The regular season began on October 12, 2012 and ended on April 21, 2013. The 2013 Calder Cup playoffs followed the conclusion of the regular season. The Calder Cup was won by the Grand Rapids Griffins for their first Calder Cup in franchise history. Regular season On June 28, the Board of Governors approved a minor realignment for the league for the 2012–13 season. American Hockey League
The American Hockey League (AHL) is a professional ice hockey league based in the United States and Canada that serves as the primary Minor league#Ice hockey, developmental league for the National Hockey League (NHL). The 2011–12 AHL season was the 76th season of the American Hockey League. The regular season began on October 7, 2011, and concluded on April 15, 2012. The 2012 Calder Cup playoffs follows the conclusion of the regular season. Regular season The 2011–12 season will feature scheduling changes in the regular season and post season. The National League (NL) is a professional ice hockey league in Switzerland and is the top tier of the Swiss league system. Prior to the 2017–18 season, the league was known as National League A. During the 2018–19 season, the league had an average of 6,949 spectators per game which is the highest among European leagues (ahead of the KHL with 6,397 and the DEL with 6,215). The capital city's club SC Bern has been ranked first of all European clubs for 18 seasons and had an average attendance of 16,290 after the regular season. The Swiss League is the second tier of the main professional ice hockey league in Switzerland, behind the National League. The winners of the league each season plays a best-of-seven series against the bottom team of the NL, and if they win, they are promoted, while the National League team is relegated to the Swiss League.
