State Route 211 (SR 211) is a state highway that serves as a connection between Gadsden and Interstate 59 (I-59) in Reece City in central Etowah County. SR 211 intersects US 278 and US 431 at its southern terminus and US 11 at its northern terminus. Route description SR 211 begins at its intersection with US 278/US 431 in central Gadsden. The route progresses in a northwesterly direction until it approaches Noccalula Falls Park where its turns in a northerly direction. SR 211 continues in its northwesterly track through Reece City where it intersects I-59 prior to reaching its northern terminus at US 11. Gadsden is a city in and the county seat of Etowah County in the U.S. state of Alabama. It is located on the Coosa River about northeast of Birmingham and southwest of Chattanooga, Tennessee. Reece City is a town in Etowah County, Alabama, United States. It was incorporated in May 1956. It is part of the Gadsden Metropolitan Statistical Area. At the 2020 census, the population was 615. Noccalula Falls Park
Noccalula Falls Park is a 250-acre (101-ha) public park located in Gadsden, Alabama, United States. The main feature of the park is a 90-foot (27-m) waterfall. Trails wind through Black Creek Gorge past caves, an aboriginal fort, an abandoned dam, pioneer homestead, and Civil War carvings. The park also features a petting zoo, mini-golf course, the Gilliland-Reese Covered Bridge (built 1899) and a replica 1863 C. P. Huntington train ride. Noccalula Falls Park was listed on the Alabama Register of Landmarks and Heritage on May 12, 1976. It was rated in 2017 as the best campsite in Alabama in a 50-state survey conducted by Msn.com. The falls drop itself has been run successfully in whitewater kayaks on multiple occasions, beginning in late November 2011 when three expert kayakers ran the drop.
