State Route 167 (SR 167) is a 60-mile-long route in the southeastern part of the state. The southern terminus of the route is at the Florida state line, where State Road 79 (SR 79) crosses into Geneva County, Alabama. The northern terminus of the route is at the junction with U.S. Route 231/ SR 10 in Troy. Route description SR 167 passes through largely rural areas in southeastern Alabama. Except for a brief stretch as the route passes through Enterprise, SR 167 travels on two-lane roads for the duration of its route. Esto is a town in Holmes County, Florida, United States. The population was 364 at the 2010 census. Geography Esto is located in northeastern Holmes County at (30.981052, –85.646857). It is bordered to the north by the state of Alabama and to the east by the town of Noma, Florida. Florida State Road 79 is the main road through town, leading south to Bonifay, the Holmes County seat, and north (as Alabama State Route 167) to Hartford, Alabama. State Route 53 (SR 53) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Alabama. The majority, between Dothan and Huntsville, is signed as U.S. Route 231 (US 231), but the two ends – south to Florida and north to I-65/ US 31 near Tennessee – are independent. In those areas, US 231 uses SR 1, sharing the route with US 431 north of Huntsville, where it is referred to as Memorial Parkway. Fort Rucker is a U.S. Army post located primarily in Dale County, Alabama, United States. It was named for a Civil War officer, Confederate General Edmund Rucker. The post is the primary flight training installation for U.S. Army Aviators and is home to the United States Army Aviation Center of Excellence (USAACE) and the United States Army Aviation Museum. Small sections of the post also lie in Coffee, Geneva, and Houston counties. Part of the Dale County section of the base is a census-designated place; its population was 4,636 at the 2010 census.
