State Route 165 (SR 165) is a state highway in the U.S. state of Alabama. It runs through Holy Trinity, Alabama in the eastern part of the state. Its northern terminus is at U.S. Route 431 (US 431) south of Phenix City, Alabama, and its southern terminus is at US 431 north of Eufaula, Alabama. Route description SR 165 begins at US 431 in Barbour County before heading north past the junction with SR 285, which leads to Lakepoint State Park. It travels near Eufaula National Wildlife Refuge before it enters Russell County and intersects SR 208 near Cottonton. SR 165 then goes through Holy Trinity and Fort Mitchell as it goes near the Fort Mitchell National Cemetery and terminates at US 431 near the Columbus, Georgia metropolitan area. Interstate 165 (I-165) is a spur from Interstate 65 in Alabama, I-65 that provides access to Mobile, Alabama. It travels for approximately from Water Street in downtown Mobile north to I-65 in Prichard, Alabama, Prichard. As it is, I-165 terminates into Water Street, which itself terminates into an I-10 onramp less than further. The route is Elevated highway, elevated for its entire length. Eufaula National Wildlife Refuge
Eufaula National Wildlife Refuge is an 11,184 acre (45.26 km2) National Wildlife Refuge located in Barbour and Russell counties in Alabama and Stewart and Quitman counties in Georgia. Eufaula NWR is located on the Walter F. George Lake (also known as Lake Eufaula) along the Chattahoochee River between Alabama and Georgia. Of the 11,184 acres (45.26 km2) of managed property, 7,953 acres (32.18 km2) are in Alabama and 3,231 acres (13.08 km2) are in Georgia. Eufaula NWR was established in 1964 in cooperation with the United States Army Corps of Engineers which manages the Walter F. George Lock and Dam and the majority of Walter F. George Lake. Phenix City is a city in Lee and Russell counties in the U.S. state of Alabama, and the county seat of Russell County. As of the 2020 Census, the population of the city was 38,817.
