State Route 115 (SR 115) is a state highway in Coosa County. The southern terminus of the highway is at an intersection with SR 9 in the eastern part of the county. Kellyton is an incorporated town in Coosa County, Alabama, United States. It had a population of 217 as of the 2010 census. The town is part of the Talladega-Sylacauga Micropolitan Statistical Area. Coosa County, Alabama
Coosa County is located in the east central portion of the U.S. state of Alabama. As of the 2020 census the population was 10,387. Its county seat is Rockford. Its name derives from a town of the Creek tribe and the Coosa River, which forms one of the county borders. Coosa County is included in the Talladega- Sylacauga, AL Micropolitan Statistical Area, which is also included in the Birmingham- Hoover-Talladega, AL Combined Statistical Area. History The county was established on December 18, 1832, formed from parts of Montgomery and Shelby counties. State Route 9 (SR 9) is one of the longest state highways in the U.S. state of Alabama. From the Florida state line north to Montgomery, SR 9 is the unsigned partner route of U.S. Route 331 (US 331). As a signed route, the southern terminus of SR 9 is at its junction with US 231 and SR 21 at Wetumpka, and the northern terminus of the route is at the Georgia state line east of Cedar Bluff, where the route becomes State Route 20 (SR 20). Alexander City, known to locals as "Alex City", is the largest city in Tallapoosa County, Alabama, United States, with a population of 14,843 as of the 2020 census. It has been the largest community in Tallapoosa County since 1910. It is known for Lake Martin with its of wooded shoreline and of water.
