Al Lailu Lana
''Al lailu lana'' ( ar, الليل لنا, translit.''al-lail lana'', English: The Night is Ours) is a 1949 Egyptian film directed by and starring Mahmoud Zulfikar. The cast includes Sabah and Suleiman Naguib. Plot Nawal, a singer, and Maysa, a dancer, are two friends who work in a mobile band. The band manager Mohsen takes them to the city of El Mahalla El Kubra. Mohsen takes their revenue and runs away, so the owner of the hall expels them. Nawal and Maysa are thrown out of their hotel and they spend the night in the street, eventually finding an empty car to sleep in. When the owner of the car came, Dr. Wahid Kamel, who was on a home visit, and when he got into his car, he knew of their presence and they recognized him after he was misleading that they were teachers. Mahmoud Zulfikar
Mahmoud Qasdy Ahmed Mourad Zulfikar (18 February 1914 – 22 May 1970) was an Egyptians, Egyptian film director, producer, screenwriter, and actor. He started his career as an architect, before becoming an actor in 1939. He was a major figure in Cinema of Egypt, Egyptian film industry. Zulfikar was one of the most prominent artists in the Egyptian cinema, he was known for his boldness and adventure with the new talents he presented to the Egyptian audience, later, he was nicknamed the "Talent Finder". Zulfikar was able to go beyond the limits of the film location with accurate calculations and through his imaginations, he could make his scripts alive. Nelly Mazloum
Nelly Mazloum (9 June 1929 - 21 February 2003), an Egyptian of Italian and Greek origin, was an actress, choreographer, dancer, and teacher of ballet, modern dance, Egyptian folkloric dance, traditional oriental dance and the creator of the oriental dance technique. She was a pioneer, in that she was the first to apply Egypt's traditional legacy of Folkloric Dances into a dramatised artistic form. Known for her sense of humour, she was known in Egypt in the 1930s as a child prodigy and from the 1940s to the 1960s for her many appearances in Egyptian films, her folkloric shows on Egyptian TV, and her company the "Nelly Mazloum Arabic Troupe of Dancer".
