Alfred Kendricks Smith (December 13, 1903 – August 11, 1995) was a Major League Baseball pitcher who played in one game for the 1926 New York Giants (MLB) season, New York Giants on June 18, 1926. He pitched in two innings, and allowed two earned runs for an earned run average, ERA of 9.00 in the Giants' 8–3 loss to the 1926 Pittsburgh Pirates season, Pittsburgh Pirates. In baseball, the pitcher is the player who throws ("pitches") the baseball from the pitcher's mound toward the catcher to begin each play, with the goal of retiring a batter, who attempts to either make contact with the pitched ball or draw a walk.
