Al Haskey
Dr Al Haskey is a fictional character from the BBC soap opera '' Doctors'', portrayed by Ian Midlane. He first appeared during the episode broadcast on 13 November 2012. His storylines in the programme have included stalking Jas Khella (Vineeta Rishi), his friendship with colleague Jimmi Clay ( Adrian Lewis Morgan) and dealing with his mother's dementia. Development Characterisation Al was introduced into the series as a "cynical" general practitioner. Writers partnered him with Jimmi Clay ( Adrian Lewis Morgan), who is "uptight" and initially struggles to get along with Al. He is immediately given a dramatic story in which a patient is stabbed and Jimmi leaves Al to tend to his injuries. Ian Midlane
Ian Midlane (born 2 February 1976) is an English actor, known for portraying the role of Al Haskey on the BBC soap opera '' Doctors''. For his performance as Al, he won the award for Best Comedy Performance at the 2018 British Soap Awards. Career In 2004, Midlane made his television debut in an episode of the ITV series '' The Last Detective'' as a fire officer. Simon Rivers
Simon Rivers (born Amardip Singh Nahal in 1978) is an English actor, known for portraying the role of Kevin Tyler in the BBC soap opera ''Doctors''. Life and career Born in Birmingham, West Midlands to Sikh parents who had immigrated from the Punjab, he speaks fluent Hindi and Punjabi. When he was five, his family moved to Berkshire. Undertaking a series of supporting roles, he took a two-year degree course at RADA, followed by theatre work. The Royal Television Society (RTS) is a British-based educational charity for the discussion, and analysis of television in all its forms, past, present, and future.
