Al Campbell (keyboard Player)
Al Campbell is a keyboard player. He was in the 1980s band Kid Lightning. In 1981 Kid Lightning released an album with Gerard McMahon of "Cry Little Sister" fame. Prior to Kid Lightning, Campbell undertook work as a session musician. In 1983, Campbell assisted producer Artie Ripp by playing keyboards on the track "Turn Around" on the remix of Billy Joel's ''Cold Spring Harbor'' album. A keyboard instrument is a musical instrument played using a keyboard, a row of levers which are pressed by the fingers. Gerard McMahon
Gerard Thomas McMahon, also known as Gerard McMann and G Tom Mac, is an English singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist and producer who specialises in creating music for films and TV. His gothic rock anthem "Cry Little Sister" was recorded in 1987 for the soundtrack album of the cult horror film ''The Lost Boys''. Early years Gerard McMahon emigrated with his family from England to America when he was eleven. Initially moving to New York City, the McMahons moved again a few years later, eventually settling in Wichita, Kansas. "Cry Little Sister" is a song written by English singer-songwriter Gerard McMahon (under the pseudonym Gerard McMann) and Michael Mainieri, and performed by McMahon for the soundtrack to the 1987 film ''The Lost Boys'', which peaked at number 15 on the ''Billboard'' 200. The original song failed to chart, although it charted in Australia and the United Kingdom in 2003 when the track was remixed. The track has been covered by several other bands. Arthur Marcus "Artie" Ripp (born 1940) is an American music industry executive and record producer. Career Early career Ripp began his career as a singer, initially informally harmonizing rock and roll songs with friends from high school. In 1957, Ripp formed an official singing group with neighborhood friends; the group was signed by ABC-Paramount Records as backup singers for ABC solo artists. The singers sang backup for Paul Anka on his 1957 hit " Diana" and broke up shortly thereafter. Ripp rejoined with some of his informal singing partners (Mario "Skippy" Scarpa, Stu Silverman, and Joe Tedesco) to form "The Four Temptations". ''Cold Spring Harbor'' is the debut studio album by American recording artist Billy Joel, released on November 1, 1971, by Family Productions. Composition and recording ''Cold Spring Harbor'' was named after a hamlet of the same name in the Town of Huntington, New York. It is located on Long Island Sound near Joel's hometown. The front cover was photographed at Harbor Road in Cold Spring Harbor. His song "Tomorrow Is Today" drew from his period of depression and hospitalization the year before. Jimmy Ibbotson
James Arvey Ibbotson (born January 21, 1947) is an American musician who is best known as a longtime member of the Nitty Gritty Dirt Band. He has also released albums as a solo artist, as a member of the Wild Jimbos, and with John McEuen. Career In 1965, Ibbotson was a member of a folk trio known as The Wharf Rats, on Long Beach Island, New Jersey. During his time at DePauw University in Greencastle, Indiana, in 1966, Ibbotson was a member of the band The Collegiates, playing drums and being the lead singer. The Collegiates became "The Sunshine Mission" in the fall of 1967, adopting a psychedelic look popular among many bands of that era.
