Al Ain International Airport ; ar, مَطَار ٱلْعَيْن ٱلدَُوَلِِي; transliterated: Maṭār Al-ʿAyn Ad-Duwalī) is an airport located west or northwest (login required) of Al Ain in the Eastern Region of the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, the United Arab Emirates. It was opened on 31 March 1994. It is the fifth busiest airport in the UAE. The Grumman G-21 Goose is an amphibious flying boat designed by Grumman to serve as an eight-seat "commuter" aircraft for businessmen in the Long Island area. The Goose was Grumman's first monoplane to fly, its first twin-engined aircraft, and its first aircraft to enter commercial airline service.
