Alexandru С. Calotescu-Neicu (1888–1952) was a Romanian columnist and epigrammatist. Born in Turceni, Gorj County, he attended primary school in his native village. He then went to the Traian National College, Traian High School in Turnu Severin, followed by Carol I National College, Carol I High School in Craiova. After two years at the Gheorghe Chițu school in the same city, he studied agriculture at the University of Hohenheim. He published epigrams, tales and translations of Guy de Maupassant and Johann Wolfgang von Goethe. Together with Dumitru Tomescu and Constantin Șaban Făgețel, he took part in founding ''Ramuri'' magazine. With Ion Dongorozi and Făgețel, he edited ''Vatra'' magazine. Ion Minulescu
Ion Minulescu (; 6 January 1881 – 11 April 1944) was a Romanian avant-garde poet, novelist, short story writer, journalist, literary critic, and playwright. Often publishing his works under the pseudonyms I. M. Nirvan and Koh-i-Noor (the latter being derived from the famous diamond), he journeyed to Paris, where he was heavily influenced by the growing Symbolist movement and Parisian Bohemianism. A herald of Romania's own Symbolist movement, he had a major influence on local modernist literature, and was among the first local poets to use free verse. Ion Nestor (25 August 1905, Focșani – 29 November 1974, Bucharest) was a Romanian historian and archaeologist. In 1955, he became a corresponding member of the Romanian Academy. Biography After attending Unirea High School in Focșani, he pursued his studies at the University of Bucharest, taking courses at the Faculty of Letters and Philosophy, Department of Classical Philology. In 1926, he obtained a degree in classical philology and secondary archeology. His interest in education facilitated his specialization in 1928–1932 in Berlin and Marburg (Lahn), while participating in the archaeological research that revealed the Neolithic culture of Goldberg (ordlingen). Because of his stay in Berlin he also got acquainted with some materials preserved kept at the Museum of Archeology, at the prehistoric section, coming from the Romanian territory, collected in the previous decades.
