Al-Riyadh Saudi Club () is a football team based in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia, that is currently playing in the Saudi Second Division (third level). It was established in 1953 as Ahli Al-Riyadh, then changed to Al-Yamamah and finally to Al-Riyadh. Best known for its football team, Al-Riyadh also have squads in other sports. They have won two major titles: a Crown Prince Cup in 1994 and a Crown Prince Cup in 1995; they also finished runners-up in the Saudi Premier League in 1994. 2021–22 Saudi Second Division
The 2021–22 Saudi Second Division was the 46th season of the Saudi Second Division since its establishment in 1976. The season began on 29 September 2021 and concluded on 20 April 2022 with the final. The group stage draw was held on 8 June 2021. The season was originally scheduled to conclude on 16 April with the final. However, it was announced that both the final and third-place play-off would be postponed due to an ongoing investigation into match-fixing allegations. The investigation was concluded on 12 April with no evidence of any match-fixing and the new date for the final was announced as 20 April. The final was played on 20 April 2022 between Al-Arabi and Al-Qaisumah. Al-Arabi defeated Al-Qaisumah 1–0 to win their second title and first since 1986. 1996 Arab Super Cup
The 1996 Arab Super Cup was an international club competition played by the winners and runners up of the Arab Club Champions Cup and Arab Cup Winners' Cup. It was the third edition of the tournament to be played. Espérance de Tunis were crowned champions, with Saudi Arabian outfit Al-Riyadh runner up. Jens Cools (born 16 October 1990) is a Belgian professional footballer who plays as a defensive midfielder for Saudi Arabian club Al-Riyadh. He gained two caps for the Belgium under-21 team. Damir Burić (footballer)
Damir Burić (born 7 July 1964), popularly known as Šolta, is a Croatian professional football manager and former player. He is the current manager of Saudi Arabian club Al-Riyadh. While playing in Croatia, he got the nickname "Šolta" after the island of Šolta, because roots of his family are from that island. Abdulrahman Hashim Al-Yami ( ar, عبدالرحمن اليامي; born 19 June 1997) is a Saudi Arabian professional footballer who plays as a striker for Saudi club Al-Riyadh. Mohammed Al-Aqel (; born 7 February 2000) is a Saudi Arabian professional footballer who plays as a winger for Al-Riyadh. Saudi Crown Prince Cup
The Saudi Crown Prince's Cup ( ar, كأس ولي العهد) was the Saudi Arabian annual cup competition. It was the oldest domestic football competition in Saudi Arabia, its first edition was held in 1956–57, but was not crowned from 1975 until 1990. The competition consists of teams from the top two tiers of Saudi league football (Professional League and First Division League), as well as the competition runs from August until February.
