Al-Jazeera Club
Al Jazira Club is an Emirati professional football club based in Abu Dhabi, that currently competes in the UAE Pro League. History Al-Jazira was established in 1974 as a merger between ''Khalidiyah'' and ''Al Bateen''. The club struggled to stay in the league, getting relegated on multiple occasions during the 1980s and 1990s, but experienced a recent success when Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan invested into the club in the 2000s. Since his purchase, they won their first league title in 2011 and two more league titles in 2017 and 2021. Al Jazira have produced talented homegrown players such as Ali Mabkhout and Khalfan Mubarak and many others that would end up playing for the UAE national team. Mohammed Bin Zayed Stadium
Al-Jazira Mohammed bin Zayed Stadium ( ar, ستاد محمد بن زايد) is a multi-purpose stadium in Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. It is currently used mostly for football and cricket matches and is the home ground of Al Jazira Club. It is named after Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan. Capacity change The stadium's original capacity was 15,000 but it was expanded. Half of the project was completed by December 2006 and the stadium hosted the 18th Arabian Gulf Cup the next month. The UAE won the tournament in the stadium which held 24,000 spectators. The stadium was expanded again for the 2019 AFC Asian Cup. 2011–12 UAE President's Cup
The 2011–12 UAE President's Cup is the 36th season of the UAE President's Cup, the premier knockout tournament for association football clubs in the United Arab Emirates. The tournament was changed from previous editions and featured all 12 clubs from the Pro League, and the top four teams of the Federation Cup. The UAE Pro League ( ar, دوري المحترفين الإماراتي), known for sponsorship reasons as the ADNOC Pro League, is the top professional football league in the United Arab Emirates (UAE). The first team to win the title was Al Orouba (Sharjah), whilst Al Ain has the record with 14 league titles to their name. Fourteen clubs compete in the League that operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the First Division League. The League was founded in 1973 as the UAE Football League. The first 1973–74 season was a "trial" championship but was declared official by the UAE FA in 2001. Alami Ahannach
Alami Ahannach (born 20 September 1969) is a Moroccan football manager and former international player. Playing career Ahannach spent his whole playing career in the Netherlands, playing over 200 professional games throughout his career. He also played a total 20 games in the Dutch top flight as a MVV Maastricht player in 1997–98 and the initial part of the 1998–99 season. He retired in 2004, after four seasons with second-tier club FC Emmen and a lone season with amateurs WKE (still based in the city of Emmen). Roy Pierre Vernond Hendriksen (born 21 January 1969) is a Dutch professional football manager, coach and former player. During his 16-year playing career he played Eredivisie football with SC Cambuur, before retiring in 2007 and entering management with Zeelandia Middelburg. He later served as assistant manager at RKC Waalwijk, N.E.C, Brentford, Sporting CP and Al Jazira. The GCC Champions League ( ar, دوري أبطال الخليج للأندية), formerly known as the Gulf Cup for Clubs ( ar, كأس الخليج للأندية), was an annually organized football league tournament for clubs of the Arabian peninsula. 2021 UAE Super Cup
The 2021 UAE Super Cup was the 14th professional and 20th overall UAE Super Cup, an annual football match played between the winners of the previous season's League and President's Cup. It was played between Al Jazira who won the league on the final day of the season and Shabab Al Ahli who defeated Al Nasr in the President's cup final.
