Al Fateh Sports Club ( ar, نادي الفتح الرياضي) is a Saudi Arabian multi-sports club based in Al-Mubarraz, Al-Ahsa. It is mainly known for its professional football club. The club derives its nickname, "Al-Namothaji" (T''he Paragon''), from the fact that almost all of the club's sports play in the national top flights. History Al Fateh have played in the lower divisions for most of their existence, unlike rivals and city neighbours Hajer FC who played in the top flight when they achieved promotions in the 80's, 90's and 2000's. 1986–87 Saudi Premier League
The 1986–87 Saudi Premier League season reverted to a regular home and away league format instead of the previous season's group phases. Ettifaq FC, Al Ettifaq would win the title for the second time. Newly promoted sides Al-Ansar (Saudi Arabia), Al-Ansar and Al-Raed would be relegated at the first time of asking proving in the process that it is hard for promoted teams to survive in the first season as few teams have managed to achieve this feat. Jacob Rinne
Jacob Karl Anders Rinne (born 20 June 1993) is a Swedish professional footballer who plays as a goalkeeper for Saudi Arabian club Al-Fateh and the Sweden national team. Club career Early career In 2010, Rinne joined Division 1 side BK Forward from sixth division side Laxå IF. In January 2013, Rinne went on a two-week trial with Premier League club Everton. On 30 May 2013, Rinne signed for Örebro SK on a three and a half year contract and was immediately loaned back to BK Forward for the rest of the 2013 season. 2013 Saudi Super Cup
The 2013 Saudi Super Cup was the inaugural edition of the Saudi Super Cup, an annual Saudi football match played between the winners of the previous season's Saudi Pro League and King's Cup. Al-Fateh won the match 3–2 after extra time. It was played on 17 August 2013 by Al-Fateh, the winners of the 2012–13 Saudi Pro League, and Al-Ittihad, the winners of the 2013 King Cup of Champions. The match was held at the King Abdul Aziz Stadium in Mecca, Saudi Arabia. Al-Fateh defeated Al-Ittihad 3–2 after extra time to inaugural champions of the Saudi Super Cup. Saudi Second Division
The Saudi Second Division , also known as the Second Division League (SDL), is a football league that is the third tier of the Saudi Arabian football league system. The league consists of 32 teams divided into two groups and was founded in 1996. Promotion and relegation The top 3 teams are promoted to the First Division League. The first two teams of each group will advance directly to the First Division League, and the second two teams of each group will compete in two round-trip matches, and the winning team will advance to the First Division League as the third team. The bottom two clubs of each group are relegated to the Third Division League. Saudi First Division
The First Division League (FDL for short), also called the Yelo league for sponsorship reasons, is the second tier of professional football in Saudi Arabia. The First Division League is ranked below the Saudi Professional League and above the Saudi Second Division in the Saudi Arabian football league system. All of the FDL clubs qualify for the King Cup, the annual Saudi Cup competition. Al-Hazem are the most recent champions, winning their second title during the 2020–21 season. Al Taawoun Football Club ( ar, التعاون, lit=Cooperation) is a professional multi-sports club based in Buraidah, Saudi Arabia. The football team competes in the Saudi Professional League, the top tier of Saudi Football.
