Al-Da'i
''Al-Da'i'' ( ar, ) is an Arabic monthly Islamic journal issued from Darul Uloom Deoband, under the editorship of Wahiduzzaman Kairanawi in 1976. The main focus of the journal are dignitaries of Darul Uloom Deoband and its graduates only. Due to its uniqueness, it has attracted the attention of scholars from India and the Arab world. The journal is curated by Abul Qasim Nomani and Muhammad Arif Jamil Qasmi is the Editor-in-Chief. Noor Alam Khalil Amini was a notable editor of this journal. Wahiduzzaman Kairanawi
Wahīduzzamān Kairānawi (1930–1995), also spelt as Waheed-uz-Zaman Keranvi, was an Indian Sunni Muslim scholar, author, lexicographer, and professor who specialised in Arabic. He spent around 27 years instructing Hadith and Arabic at Darul Uloom Deoband. Early life and education Wahiduzzaman Kairanawi was born on 17 February 1930, in Kairana. He was a descendant of Abu Ayub Ansari, a companion of the Islamic Prophet Muhammad. Kairanawi studied Hifz, Arabic, and Persian in Jama Masjid, Kairana from his father Masīhuzzamān and Muhammad Khalid, then accidentally went to Hyderabad for education in 1946, where he learned the Arabic language from an Arabic scholar, Mamūn Al-Dimashqi. He was admitted to Darul Uloom Deoband in 1367 AH (1948 AD) and graduated from the Aalim course in 1371 AH (1952 AD). Da'watul Haq
''Da'watul Haq'' ( ar, دعوة الحق) was a quarterly Arabic magazine published by Darul Uloom Deoband under the supervision of Muhammad Tayyib Qasmi from 1965 to 1975, subsequently replaced by ''Al-Da'i''. Founded and developed by Wahiduzzaman Kairanawi, it became Darul Uloom Deoband's inaugural Arabic magazine, with the primary mission of acquainting Arabic-speaking regions with Darul Uloom Deoband and translating its educational content into Arabic. Darul Uloom Deoband
The Darul Uloom Deoband is an Islamic seminary (darul uloom) in India at which the Sunni Deobandi Islamic movement began. It is located in Deoband, a town in Saharanpur district, Uttar Pradesh. The seminary was established by Muhammad Qasim Nanautavi, Fazlur Rahman Usmani, Sayyid Muhammad Abid and others in 1866. Mahmud Deobandi was the first teacher and Mahmud Hasan Deobandi was the first student. On 14 October 2020, the executive council of the seminary appointed Arshad Madani as the principal (''sadr-mudarris'') and Abul Qasim Nomani as the senior hadith professor (''shaykh al-hadith''). Muhammad Tayyib Qasmi
Muhammad Tayyib Qasmi (known as Qari Muhammad Tayyib) was an Indian Sunni Islamic scholar who served as Vice Chancellor of Darul Uloom Deoband for more than half a century. He was grandson of Muhammad Qasim Nanautavi, the founder of the Darul Uloom Deoband. Biography Muhammad Tayyib Qasmi was born in 1892 or 1897 into the Siddiqi family of Nanauta. He served as the vice-chancellor of Darul Uloom Deoband from 1928 to 1980. *Amini states that Qari Tayyab was selected as mohtamim in 1928 and he remained in this post throughout his life. However, the 1980-1982 phase of Darul Uloom Deoband is regarded as one of the darkest phases of its history which led to bifurcation of Darul Uloom and then formation of Darul Uloom Waqf, Deoband. Noor Alam Khalil Amini
Noor Alam Khalil Amini (18 December 1952 – 3 May 2021) was an Indian Sunni Muslim scholar, academic and a litterateur of Arabic and Urdu. He was a senior professor of Arabic language and literature at the Darul Uloom Deoband. His book ''Falastin Fi Intezari Salahidin'' was subject of a doctoral study at Assam University and his book ''Miftahul Arabia'' is part of dars-e-nizami curricula in various madrasas. Amini was an alumnus of Darul Uloom Mau, Darul Uloom Deoband, Madrasa Aminia and the King Saud University. His books include ''Wo Koh Kan Ki Baat'', ''Harf-e-Shireen'', ''Miftah al-Arabiyyah'' and ''Falastin Fi Intezari Salahidin''.
