Al's Baby
''Al's Baby'' is a British comedy comic series, which featured in the ''Judge Dredd Megazine'' and its weekly parent publication '' 2000 AD'' in the 1990s. It tells the story of Al 'The Beast' Bestardi, a mob enforcer compelled into male pregnancy to give his terminally ill boss and father-in-law, Don Luigi Sarcoma, a grandchild. The series was created by writer John Wagner and artist Carlos Ezquerra and was the first series to appear in the ''Judge Dredd Megazine'' that was not set in the same world as Wagner and Ezquerra's most famous creation, Judge Dredd. Carlos Ezquerra
Carlos Sanchez Ezquerra (12 November 1947 – 1 October 2018) was a Spanish comics artist who worked mainly in British comics. He is best known as the co-creator of ''Judge Dredd''. Biography Early work Born in Ibdes, province of Zaragoza, Aragon, Ezquerra started his career drawing westerns and war stories for Spanish publishers. In 1973, he got work in the UK market through agent Barry Coker, drawing for girls' romance titles such as '' Valentine'' and ''Mirabelle'', as well as westerns for Thorpe & Porter's ''Pocket Western Library'', and a variety of adventure strips for D. C. Thomson & Co.'s ''The Wizard''. John Wagner
John Wagner (born 1949) is an American-born British comics writer. Alongside Pat Mills, he helped revitalise British comics in the 1970s, and continues to be active in the British comics industry, occasionally also working in American comics. He is best known as the co-creator, with artist Carlos Ezquerra, of the character Judge Dredd. Wagner started his career in editorial with D. C. Thomson & Co. in the late 1960s before becoming a freelance writer and a staff editor at IPC Media, IPC in the 1970s. He has worked in children's humour and girls' adventure comics, but is most notable for his boys' adventure comics; he helped launch ''Battle Picture Weekly'' (1975), for which he wrote "Darkie's Mob", and ''2000 AD (comics), 2000 AD'' (1977), for which he created numerous characters, including Judge Dredd, Strontium Dog, Robo-Hunter and Button Man. As a comics anthology it serialises stories in each issue (known as "progs") and was first published by IPC Magazines in 1977, the first issue dated 26 February. Contract killing is a form of murder or assassination in which one party hires another party to kill a targeted person or persons. It involves an illegal agreement which includes some form of payment, monetary or otherwise. Either party may be a person, group, or organization. Contract killing has been associated with organized crime, government conspiracies, dictatorships, and vendettas. For example, in the United States, the Jewish-American organized crime gang Murder, Inc. committed hundreds of murders on behalf of the National Crime Syndicate during the 1930s and '40s.
