''Aktapuss'' is an album by the American rapper Akinyele. It was released in 1999 on Volcano/Jive Records. The album served as the soundtrack to the film of the same name. It was modest success, peaking at No. 64 on the Top R&B/Hip-Hop Albums. It made No. 33 on the Top Heatseekers; its single, "Take a Lick", made it to No. 87 on the Hot R&B/Hip-Hop Singles & Tracks and No. 9 on the Hot Rap Singles. ''Rohit ji is Anakonda'' is the third album by the American rapper Akinyele. It was released in 2001 on Koch Records. ''Anakonda'' proved to be the least successful of Akinyele's albums, not making it to any of the ''Billboard'' charts. Critical reception ''Exclaim!'' wrote that "undoubtedly the intention was to shock, but the mediocre skills and pedestrian beats instead induce rolling of the eyes." ''Entertainment Weekly'' thought that "the veteran Queens rapper again spits out the raunchiest raps north of Miami’s 2 Live Crew." Akinyele (rapper)
Akinyele Adams (), better known by the mononym Akinyele, is an American rapper known for his sexually explicit lyrics, including his 1996 underground radio hit " Put It in Your Mouth". He appeared on " Live at the Barbeque" off of Main Source's 1991 album ''Breaking Atoms''. His first album, ''Vagina Diner'', was released in 1993. In 2001, he released '' Anakonda''. He is also listed as the composer for Swizz Beatz's 2007 singles "Money in the Bank" and "One Man Band Man". Since 2010, Akinyele has retired from the rap circuit, and instead opened up the club, V-Live, in 2016 in Miami Beach. Since opening, it has garnered controversy for teetering on being a strip club, which is prohibited in Miami Beach, and for having overly loud music which disturbed the residents living in the area. Featuring Kia Jefferies, it was released on August 13, 1996, on Zoo Entertainment's sub-label Stress Entertainment and was produced by Chris Forte, Frankie Cutlass, DJ Enuff, Jiv Pos, Dr. Butcher and EZ Elpee. The Dramatics are an American soul music vocal group, formed in Detroit, Michigan, in 1964. They are best known for their 1970s hit songs " In the Rain" and "Whatcha See Is Whatcha Get", both of which were Top 10 Pop hits, as well as their later 1993 collaboration "Doggy Dogg World" with Snoop Dogg, a top 20 hit on the ''Billboard'' Rhythmic Top 40. David Axelrod (April 17, 1931 – February 5, 2017) was an American composer, arranger, and producer. After starting out as a staff producer for record companies specializing in jazz, Axelrod became known by the mid-1960s in soul and jazz circles for his recording skills. Gladys Knight & The Pips
Gladys Knight & the Pips were an American R&B, soul and funk family music group from Atlanta, Georgia, that remained active on the music charts and performing circuit for over three decades starting from the early 1950s. Starting out as simply The Pips in 1952, derived from a cousin's nickname, the founding members were Gladys Knight, brother Merald "Bubba" Knight, sister Brenda Knight and cousins Eleanor Guest and William Guest. After a couple of years performing in talent shows, the group signed with Brunswick Records in 1957, recording a couple of singles that failed to chart. Stanley Clarke (born June 30, 1951) is an American bassist, film composer and founding member of Return to Forever, one of the first jazz fusion bands. Clarke gave the bass guitar a prominence it lacked in jazz-related music. He is the first jazz-fusion bassist to headline tours, sell out shows worldwide and have recordings reach gold status.
