Akram Ahmed Salman ( ar, أكرم أحمد سلمان; born 15 July 1945) is an Iraqi football manager and former head coach of Al-Wehdat. Playing career Akram Ahmed Salman began his career in 1963 as a player for Esalet Al-Mae, and went on to coach the team in 1970, as one of the youngest coaches in Iraq. Coaching career Akram Ahmed Salman coached the Iraq national team in 2015. He resigned from the position in June 2015. Salman is now leading Erbil in the 2018-2019 season. He took lead of the team in 28 April 2019, after the leave of Nadhum Shaker. Salman is coaching the Iraqi north team now. Iraqi League
The Iraqi Premier League ( ar, الدوري العراقي الممتاز) is the top level of the Iraqi football league system. Contested by 20 clubs, it is operated by the Iraq Football Association (IFA) and operates on a system of promotion and relegation with the Iraq Division One. The league was formed by the IFA in 1974 as the Iraqi National Clubs First Division, the first nationwide league of clubs in Iraq. The current format sees 20 teams playing 38 matches each (playing each team in the league twice, home and away), totalling 380 matches in the season. Of the 80 teams to have competed since the inception of the league in 1974, eleven have won the title. Lebanese FA Cup
The Lebanon Cup (), commonly known as the Lebanese FA Cup, is a Lebanese football annual cup competition. The first edition, held in 1937, was won by Nahda. The most successful club in the competition is Ansar with 15 titles, followed by Nejmeh with seven. Ansar have also contested the most finals with 20, followed by Nejmeh with 16. Nadhum Shaker
Nadhim Shaker Salim ( ar, ناظم شاكر سالم; 18 December 1958 – 11 September 2020) was an Iraqi football player and coach of the Iraq national team. Playing career Nadhim Shaker was one of the most talented defenders in Iraqi football history. He began his playing career at Al-Amal in 1976 before moving to (Al-Quwa Al-Jawiya) the following year and played for the club until 1988, after which he became a player-manager for the Al-Salam club. He played for the Iraq national team from 1978 till 1986. The defender represented Iraq at the 1979 World Military Championship and at the 1986 FIFA World Cup finals in Mexico playing against Paraguay, Belgium and the hosts, Mexico.
