Mons Vinogradov
Mons Vinogradov is a rugged massif that is located on the lunar mare where Oceanus Procellarum to the southwest joins Mare Imbrium to the east. There are three primary peaks in this formation, which rise to altitudes of 1.0–1.4 km above the surface (3,281-4593 ft). To the east of this rise is the crater Euler, and to the southeast is an area of rugged ground that reaches the Montes Carpatus range. The Carpatus mountain range forms the southwest boundary of the Mare Imbrium. The selenographic coordinate of Mons Vinogradov is 22.4 N, 32.4 W, and it has a maximum diameter of 25 km at the base. It was named after Soviet geochemist Aleksandr P. Vinogradov. This mountain was formerly named Euler Beta (β), or Mons Euler. In the rugged ground just to the southeast of this mountain is a set of craters that have been assigned names by the IAU. Aghtsk
Aghdzk ( hy, Աղձք, formerly, ''Akhs'', ''Akis'' and ''Dzorap'' - hy, Ձորափ) is a village on the slopes of Mount Aragats in the Aragatsotn Province of Armenia. It is home to the Arshakid Mausoleum, a large grave monument complex and basilica of the 4th to 5th centuries. King Shapur II of Persia exhumed the bones of the Armenian kings and took them to Persia symbolically taking Armenia's power. When Sparapet Vassak Mamikonian defeated the Persians and reclaimed the bones of the Arshakuni monarchs, he buried them at Aghdzk. Remains of the monuments and the basilica may still to be seen. Aghdzk is the birthplace of Catholicos Komitas I of Armenia (6th century-628). ''Akis'' (“echo”) was a former political periodical in Turkey. It was a 36-page weekly magazine somewhat resembling ''Time magazine''. Its motto was "serious but not boring". There were sections on domestic news, foreign news, economy, culture and sometimes sports. Its target reader was the educated middle class readers. The articles were mainly focussed on the details of the events in a rather humurious tongue. History In 1950s ''Akis'' was launched on 15 May 1954 by Metin Toker and two friends. Previously Metin Toker was one of the supporters of the Democrat Party (DP) and although the magazine claimed to be independent it was assumed to be a DP supporter. However, following the 1954 Turkish general election in which the DP government increased its control in the parliament, the party, originally a champion of democracy, changed its policy and began to tyrannize over the opposition and the press.
