Aki Shimizu
is a manga artist who hails from Ōmuta, Fukuoka. She contributed the art for '' Blood Sucker: Legend of Zipangu'' (2000), ''Graduale der Wolken'' (2001), and adapted a manga version of '' Suikoden III'' (2002) based on Konami's video game. In 2003, she began ''Qwan'', an original story of her own. Ōmuta, Fukuoka
is a Cities of Japan, city in Fukuoka Prefecture on the island of Kyūshū, Japan. , the city has an estimated population of 112,052 and a population density of 1,376 persons per km2. The total area is 81.45 km2. The mayor is Michio Koga. Geography Ōmuta is located in the southernmost end of Fukuoka Prefecture, is bordered by the Ariake Sea in the west, and meets Kumamoto prefecture to the south and east. Qwan
is a Japanese seinen manga by Aki Shimizu, published in by Media Factory. It was also published in the United States by Tokyopop, in France by Soleil Productions, in Hong Kong by Jade Dynasty and in Taiwan by TongLi Comics. Story Qwan, a strange boy who can eat demons, travels through Eastern Han Dynasty China with his winged companion Teikou, looking for the sutra known as the ''Essential Arts of Peace'' which he knows for certain will reveal who he is and what his purpose in life is. But there are other people interested in the sutra, like Yuushi, who will ambush him and try to stop him.
