Aki Irie
Aki Irie (入江 亜季, ''Irie Aki'') is a Japanese manga artist, best known for her work ''Ran and the Gray World'' (乱と灰色の世界, ''Ran to Haiiro no Sekai''). She was born in Marugame, Kagawa. Career Before starting her career as a mangaka, Irie studied Chinese literature in university. Irie made a few ''doujinshi''s before her 2004 debut with ''Albertina'' (アルベルティーナ) published in the magazine, ''Comic Beam''. In 2006, she began her first serialized manga in the same magazine, ''Gunjou Gakusha'' (群青学舎). The series was a compilation of short stories centering on the colour blue, and resulted in four published volumes which also included her first work, ''Albertina''. In 2008, Irie's first long-running manga ''Ran and the Gray World'' was serialized in the magazine ''Fellows!''. In 2013, ''Fellows!'' magazine was rebranded and named '' Harta.'' is a city located in Kagawa Prefecture, Japan. , the city had an estimated population of 108,541 in 46101 households and a population density of 970 persons per km². The total area of the city is . Geography Marugame is located in north-center Ehime Prefecture, on the island of Shikoku, facing the Seto Inland Sea to the north. , formerly known as ''Fellows!'', is a Japanese seinen manga magazine published by Enterbrain. Created in 2008, the magazine was originally called ''Fellows!'' and was published with a frequency of publication of two months. In December 2012, Enterbrain announced a revamp on the magazine beginning with its February issue in 2013 with the publication changing its name of ''Fellows!'' to ''Harta'' and also changing its frequency from bimonthly to ten issues per year from February to August and then October to December. The name is inspired by Indonesian word " Harta", which means "treasure." The is a Japanese comics award recognizing achievement in manga. It is awarded annually to a manga series published in the previous calendar year of eight or fewer collected volumes in length. The Manga Taishō was founded with the aim of recognizing new and relatively unestablished manga, and to provide a platform to promote these works to new readers. To this end, the prize utilizes a judging criteria of recognizing manga one would "want to recommend to friends", rather than a strictly meritocratic evaluation of artistic excellence. The Japan Media Arts Festival is an annual festival held since 1997 by Japan's Agency for Cultural Affairs. The festival begins with an open competition and culminates with the awarding of several prizes and an exhibition.
