Alireza Akbari
Alireza Akbari ( fa, علیرضا اکبری; 21 October 1961 – ) was an Iranian politician and a senior Islamic revolutionary guard officer with Iranian and British citizenship. He was Deputy Minister of Defence from 1998 to 2003 under General Ali Shamkhani during the presidency of reformist Mohammad Khatami. Akbari was first arrested in Iran in 2009, accused of spying for Britain. Akbari was arrested again in 2019 while travelling from the United Kingdom to Iran, and sentenced to death for charges including accused of spying for Britain, '' Mofsed-e-filarz'' (a Persian word translating to "corruption on Earth"), stemming from accusations that Akbari committed espionage on behalf of the United Kingdom's intelligence agency, MI6. Fatema Akbari
Fatema Akbari ( fa, فاطمه اکبری; born 1974) is an Afghan entrepreneur and women's advocate who is the founder of the Gulistan Sadaqat Company and non-governmental organization the Women Affairs Council. In 2011, she received the 10,000 Women Entrepreneurial Achievement Award. Career Fatema Akbari was driven into carpentry by necessity as a means of supporting her children following the death of her husband in 1999, originally working on building sites in Iran, where her family fled when the Taliban took control of Afghanistan. In 2003, she returned to the homeland and started furniture manufacturing business by establishing Gulistan Sadaqat Company in Kabul with a carpentry school. Hashem Akbari (born 13 August, 1949) is an Iranian-American professor of Building, Civil and Environmental Engineering at Concordia University. He specializes in research on the effects of urban heat islands, cool roofs, paving materials, energy efficiency, and advanced integrated energy optimization in buildings. Biography Akbari was born in Iran. He received his Ph.D. of Nuclear Engineering at University of California, Berkeley in 1979. He became a U.S. citizen in 1991. Suzanne Conklin Akbari is a medievalist, recognised for her global and comparative approach to medieval literary history. She was a Professor in English and Medieval Studies at the University of Toronto from 1995 until 2019, when she joined the Institute for Advanced Study, Princeton. Taghi Akbari ( fa, تقی اکبری; born 1945) is an Iranian former tennis player. Career Akbari was a member of Iran Davis Cup team from 1958 to 1975, where he was captain since 1974. He appeared at 15 Davis Cup campaigns for Iran, which is a national record. His 17 singles wins is also an Iranian Davis Cup record, that was equaled by Anoosha Shahgholi in 2011. Yadollah Akbari ( fa, یدالله اكبری, born July 1, 1974) is a former Iranian football player who played in the midfielder position.
