Akbar Radi
Abar Radi or Akbar Rādi ( fa, ; 2 October 1939 – 26 December 2007) was an Iranian playwright. He completed his studies at the University of Tehran in social sciences. He published his first story, ''Rain'', in 1959. ''Melody of a Rainy City'', ''The Descent'', ''The Fishermen'', ''Death in Autumn'', ''From behind the Glasses'', ''The Glorious Smile of Mr. Gil'', and ''Beneath the Saqqakhaneh Passage'' are among his well-known works. The 68-year-old playwright whose works have been compared with those of Anton Chekhov and Henrik Ibsen died in a Tehran hospital on December 26, 2007. Life Radi was born to a middle-class family and was raised in the city of Rasht, where he lived the first eleven years of his life until his father, the owner of a confectionery factory, went bankrupt. Flag Of Iran
The national flag of the Iran, Islamic Republic of Iran ( fa, پرچم ایران, Parčam-e Irân, ), also known as the Tricolour, tricolor ( fa, پرچم سهرنگ ایران, Parčam-e se rang-e Irân, link=no, ), is a tricolour (flag), tricolour comprising equal horizontal bands of green, white and red with the emblem of Iran, national emblem ("Allah") in red centred on the white band and the takbir written 11 times each in the Kufic script in white, at the bottom of the green and the top of the red band. ''Encyclopædia Iranica'' is a project whose goal is to create a comprehensive and authoritative English language encyclopedia about the history, culture, and civilization of Iranian peoples from prehistory to modern times. Scope The ''Encyclopædia Iranica'' is dedicated to the study of Iranian civilization in the wider Middle East, the Caucasus, Southeastern Europe, Central Asia, and the Indian subcontinent.
